Thanks to previous suggestions I have installed SGP Oleophobic sp. Damn clear and no finger prints!!

The only downpart is not very SPen-friendly. Feels rubbery with the pen. Feeling a bit sad because I use the SPen quite often. sad.gif

I am in need of some advice.

My phone vibrating module screwed up, i think, and i plan to send in for warranty, i'm rooted with the new bootloader. I now need to go through the hassle of unrooting and yada yada.

I've read a bit regarding the matter of making the modified status back to normal and i'm quite confused. Can someone please layout the steps for me? I hope this spoon feeding is an exception.

Ok. I got these steps from tot31. So credits goes to him.
You can just skip the rooting part for 4.1.2

1. Downgrade to old bootloader.
2. Flash the old 4.1.1 firmware and root it.
3. Install Triangle Away and reset the counter.
4. Install the latest 4.1.2 using Mobile Odin not PC Odin. This is the only way to preserve the old bootloader but having the new firmware. Use EverRoot option to maintain root.
5. Go to Download Mode to check the binary counter and if it is not 0 try to use TA again to reset it.

These steps gets you root, old bootloader and everything official with binary counter 0 in download mode for 4.1.2. Stop at number 3 if you are going to claim warranty.

does anyone has problems in viewing pictures directly from whatsapp after updating to the latest firmware (i presume cuz there are so many OTA updates nowadays), it always says "low memory, please restart your device if you keep seeing this messages"

I checked my RAM and storage. both are plenty left...

current firmware: XDMB2

Yup, must be rooted (please correct me if I'm wrong fellas).

If not, I would have done it a long time ago.

you can no longer choose/transfer install apps to memory card since ICS.
But you could swap your internal memory for external memory

Hi.
My worry is I take alot pictures and store a lot pictures online. If I save captured image on phone memory.  I wont have much since I dedicate the phone memory for apps.  The memory card is for media such as video audio etc.

I wont want to root my hp and make the memory card as primary. How to detect the memory card failure? What are the symptoms before happening.

I wanted to qualify his reply initially as per what you mentioned here. In any event, in order to alleviate your fear of losing your data, back them up somewhere just in case your memory card does develop a problem.

You will get warnings like there is no card inserted, etc.

not wanting to root phone... then external memory is the only way since u want internal memory for other use.

but with external memory, then some functions like burst mode, etc won't work.

if you worry about external memory card failing... there's the free 50Gb dropbox that comes with our Note 2. biggrin.gif

from what i understand... dropbox won't delete the files... just you can't add new files till you delete them yourself. otherwise, you can still access them.

anyway, these days... 2 years is long time... most actually get a new phone even before that... biggrin.gif
