If he have Nandroid backup...does restoring the Nandroid will bring the imei also..?

The OP must be quite brutal on his/her phone. I've been using mine for around 3 months and it's still in good condition. I keep it in my front pocket so I'm not exactly baby-ing the thing.

BTW I can go to Download mode and can see Custom Binary Counter as 8 so they may also see it when they test it with their own firmware in that mode.

FastDormancy Toggle for i9300. Yes, it is clearly state for SGS3/i9300 but this app also compatible with Note2/N7100. Im not sure latest perseus support this FD toggle because last time I use perseus shown that 'incompatible' 

Fd app doesn't work out of the box right? Read somewhere you need to change the permissions of some files or something.  Would make a nice addition to the first page.

Based on your recommendation yesterday, i have reinstalled again Fast Dormancy Toggle and I have disabled it. Am I doing the right thing?
And I checked my settings>battery, my phone is still awake quite frequent despite my screen was off...

yeah. read through that previously but still afraid of new stuff. like what IF i bricked my phone and i have no idea how to reverse the process

My note 2 was dead all of a sudden. I sent to Samsung service center at 1U on wednesday morning for checking. The guy attended me tested and told me it's hardware problem. There were few cases like me according to him. So they need to change the parts and promised me to collect in 3 days time.

JUst now I give a call to the service center and a lady answered the phone. She told me it will take 1 week to repair bcos they need to order the parts from somewhere.

I'm actually quite disappointed with samsung's service. It was clearly their fault and mistake that the phone died and I've to make waiting for minimum 1 week to get the phone? I mean I dont work in Sabah and it is really inconvenient for me to collect the phone.

Has anyone face sudden death before? How long it take to repair???

Just to play save, i only want to upgrade to the Malaysia Official ROM, nothing else, i do NOT require ROOT as its too tedious and way out of my league. I have just started to downloaded the latest Android 4.1.2 N7100XXDMB2 which is about 1.13GB. So lets say after finish download, all i need i is ODIN for PC to flash to it?

Those few units of Note2 in overseas are of the following Oct2012 Spec :
- Android 4.1.1
- Baseband Version N7100DXALJ1
- Build Number N7100XXALJ3

So if i were to upgrade them to the latest 4.1.2 (Feb2103) : N7100XXDMB2-N7100OLBDMA4, do i need to download the those individual ROMs update or can i just skip to download the latest one?

by individual ROMs, i mean :

Dec2012 : N7100XXDLL7-N7100OLBDLL2, then
Jan2013 : N7100XXDMA6-N7100OLBDMA4, and finally
Feb2013 : N7100XXDMB2-N7100OLBDMA4.

i feel like getting note 2 just because its hardware and screen size. but it is worth to get a set which s pen cant be used? i dont think s pen is necessary for me and it much cheaper than ori set

korea set , all same specs , only slack s-pen , front camera(dark when taking image, well i think that doesnt matter)

oh ya , its LED screen not AMOLED . but for a clone set , i guess RM800 is quite affordable plus the seller provide 1 year warranty(not samsung , but from him) . well is there any cons using this clone set beside the statement i stated above ?

actually the seller provide s pen , but not the original one and i dont think the pen is necessary for me. but still the ori s pen can be used for the clone set.
