natakaasd: I'm too lazy to check it now...have a very bad experience with their latest version...and I don't bother to try it again sleep.gif

kingmax: It's normal, even you don't start any p2p application, but your port is still open [since you've port forwarded], ZA will block any connection attempt to that port. About the vsmon.exe error..yes...I've experience it last time...which makes me give up to continue using ZA dry.gif, from my own experience, the p2p application caused ZA's TrueVector to shut down [CRASH]...this is NOT your p2p client problem, its ZA's problem..head to their forums...you'll found a lot thread about this.

jones007: Open up your ZA [double click the icon], find a tab "Programs" and you'll see a list of it. [Note: I quite sometime didn't use ZA... laugh.gif]

I used to like ZA Pro after Sygate stops supporting its product... but when I faced the crashing prob of ZA Pro with BC... I have to move on to try other products rolleyes.gif currently testing on LnS (Look'n'Stop... I hav to admit it's not suitable for newbie in computing sweat.gif )

kingmax: Currently I'm using Outpost Firewall ...a good firewall program, except it's not really user friendly, for newbies I'd say tongue.gif

erm.... so maybe you all test with the look and stop and outpost firewall later only show the result whether it's good a not.
I just scare this zone alarm having problem crashing , so there'll be no firewall anymore and virus will come in again.
Any solution for the crash ? it's not regular but just incase if it crash.

Are you new to firewalls? If so Outpost is NOT your choice. You will need to really read up before using. We can help you though. Cheers!

if ZA works fine for u then there is no need to change to other products bcos ZA is really easy to use and the security is good enough smile.gif

FYI, even with 3rd party firewall like ZA, there is still possibility u get infected by virus... it's like "no matter how strong is ur door protecting ur house, if u urself letting the robber in, u still get robbed" sweat.gif

what is more important is the sense & knowledge of security u should have, try to google around and read more concerning the topics smile.gif

Thanks yelsew , Subs did give me a lot of advice how to avoid robbers in.Currently i just have problem with virus where i install norton doesn't deep scan for virus and crash.I can't strart my window when norton loaded. That's why i totally uninstall Norton Internet Security.
Last time i am using norton Internet Security. Now , am still new to those firewall. But today , just now , zone alarm call me to update the latest firewall , then i click update , and it direct me to download the whole firewall again.

After i have a look from the forum about the vsmon.exe the true sector error , here's how they call us to have safe update.
I totally dont get it , do i really need to do all of this step to install again thel atest security?

with more and more anti-virus and firewall products now in the market, u can forget about norton already tongue.gif

from what I understand... if u r using the latest version (v6.5.xxx and above) from the beginning... I think that guide is not necessary when u r doing the upgrading... (notice the date posted is in June sweat.gif )

unless u wish to reinstall the whole program or u r upgrading from version b4 v6.5.xxx then u should follow the guide smile.gif (uninstalling ZA is a bit tricky tho sweat.gif )

So after downloaded , around 13mb , can i just install like normal ? or i need to uninstall my current 6.5.722 version and install again the newer version ?

Auto install can already. Don't need to uninstall, they make it end-user friendly. Cheers!
