And ex-share holder of Liverpool, Steve Morgan as the owner now. tongue.gif

Does this mean Wolverhampton will more or less act as Liverpool B? brows.gif

Consider our U21 is doing so fine now in the new Barclays format, there will be a lot more great youngsters emerging in years to come. It's a win-win situation for both parties. smile.gif

Not necessarily. It may be to the contrary, perhaps.

If he has his son's best interest at heart, he would probably engineer his son's transfer to us this summer.

Rationale : he loves his son (I hope) and he may still like us..

Where is he gonna play? There's not even a seat on the bench now.
Couts, Sterling, Borini, Suso, Assaidi, Downing.

Unless of course Mayan Downing plays at left back after reaching 30 years old and then a free seat on the bench could be available for Guvnor Jr. tongue.gif

Even if we don't have a place for him here (which we may not know for sure), I am sure senior would want his junior to go up to the PL and do well.

Unless he is so sure of himself, that he can lead Blackpool back to the PL..

Back to our beloved team, my guess is that there will be movements this summer both in and out, and hence my saying "we may not know..".

Although Downing has sort of responded positively to BR's warning, he doesn't seem to be able to improve much further. Perhaps that's as good as he can get. BR may also have to provide for players who are unwilling to stay on to warm the bench.

btw, downing again...zzz.
everyone seems to say hes predictable...but i dunno if u notice this...everytime downing gets the ball...most of the time he either gets the crosses in or gets a corner...now how bad can that be?
plus downing has been playing almost like he did at villa...and that was the form that made LFC buy him...tho still not what he can do fully...i think LFC may just regret later if they put downing on the transfer market.

paul ince once said this...
QUOTE
He talks about his son's experience at Anfield saying, "That is what disappoints me about my lad at Liverpool. He scored goals on loan and people started talking about him, but now he has disappeared again and won’t be seen for a while playing for the reserves, and that annoys me.”

so of cos he wont let his son go anywhere unless he gets first team football.

But Guvnor already openly said that he doesnt want his son to go to teams that dont guarantee 1st team football for his son Tommy.

He said it stops his development rather than helping him progress. So I think he'll go only if he gets 1st team footie, and not becoming tom, d1ck and harry watching the telly munching some chochies while his mates celebrating their victory. tongue.gif

Dilemma of every parent :

encourage my child to work for an mnc and risk him/her getting lost in the maze of a few thousand talented workers or let him/her go to a much smaller firm to be more prominent and take the risk of the firm being taken over later and face uncertainties..

if a young player gets a break in a big club and gets noticed, there could be a lot of positive possibilities..

Imagine if a top european club had offered 10m euros to buy Sterling in January because of his early form and England break-through.. of course, we can see now that Sterling is very much WIP but the early perception may transform the career of some youngsters.

So it is a risk ... and no risk, no gain!

Fiorentina confirms they interest in Borini. I'd say we let him go and bring on Jovetic in the deal.

Yeah..just read about it. Dont know what to make of it though..borini has been so unlucky with injury. Poor dude. Swapping with Jovetic would be a decent deal i think.

Perhaps if they drink too much like me tonight, I think they will. They would even offer Stefan Savic for free as well if they drink some more. tongue.gif

If I am not mistaken the rumours about Arda Turan start since Rafa time. It has been very long time since we have been related with this player. I don't really know his attributes but 19m is quite high I think.
