Not really, I think majority waiting for the flagship DX tongue.gif
*
yup, need to upgrade the DX lineup..
i am stuck with D300s for Dx setup, not going to D7000 because it feels.. light..
i like the fast D300s but i like the video option that the D7000 have..

well, lets hope the D7100 or D400 can be a good replacement..
and lenses too! no new lens for Dx liao~

as for the Fx no need lah.. enough with D4 and D600 dulu lah..
maybe make a 2470VR or something, but i dont think there's much use n having VR in that range on FX

Contact their service guys, might get some hint there. So far they are quite alright... at least for my D800 AF calibration thingy (no part change involved).
*
i think we have to wait for SC to stock up on d replacements 1st
nowadays its faster to do.. no need to wait so long, kan

btw, D7000 and D600 users shud b glad that this issue is acknowledged by Nikon and repairs are on the way

Guyss can i ask something? Errr my D300s suddenly cant turn on, after the battery fully charged also cannot turn on the camera. Is it the camera board is damged?
*
maybe your battery is faulty also
try other battery? the D300s shares the same battery as D80 and D90 and D700~
borrow from friends ans test2 first~

yealo.. no doubt the kitlens can be use to shoot in daylight & landscape, or long exposure. but if you need good bokeh & fast shutter for portrait, it can't really do the job.. unless paired with flash i guess?
*
good bokeh? it have a bit to do with the aperture opening, but it REALLY depends on how far the subject(s) are from the front/background..

yea we realize that.. but upon using let say 50mm prime.. the kitlens can't fight ady.. lol
*
50mm f1.8 VS 18-105mm i have bet with a friend and WIN that 105mm does better bokeh when shooting the same subject in the frame (not d same focal length though)
that costs him his SB700 to me hahaha

yah, i agree with @ifer also, im just happy that i have a camera to shoot with.. sharing moments with the world..

hahaha if u got camwhoring also okay mah..
nowadays i see kids bringing SLR to school and for jalan2 at mall.. shooting direct popup flash to the face hahaha

makes me feel old.. during my time starting using SLR around 2005 it was considered luxury to own SLR; i remember FM2 being superly hot chick magnet. everywhere u bring sure will got chicks ask u to shoot them ha ha ha

now even kids have their own sLR, they see u using then ask u "abang, boleh ajar saya kah macamana mau shoot pakai ni kamera supaya tidak blur"
i was like.. what? buy camera 1st then learn later!! how lucky kids nowadays..

zzz... dam emo la nothing to shoot , lens again failed me , but the cat walk i able to take few of them but not sharp zzz.... anyway standard 50mm should be able to take few pictures , not much space needed also unless you bringing 85mm that is...
*
well i always have 50mm and 85mm in d bag..
if using Dx good enuff but for Fx then need to use 105mm for catwalk

the good thing is, 85mm on Fx is +/- 50mm on Dx

i just found out that kit lens don`t do well on PC Fair , its kinda hard for subject isolation using kit lens , should had used my prime lens instead...zzzz
*
is it? i have been shooting PC Fair with the 18-105 and 18-135 for 4years on Dx and still manage to satisfy myself..
i didnt go much for the bokeh2an cause i just wana shoot girls hahaha
then after that give them my card "check if ur pics is in my fb later"
mission accomplished!!
