Does Nikon D5100 have the Exposure Preview Mode like in Canon's liveview where varying the aperture, shutter and ISO can show the expected exposure outcome of the image?
In live view, the D5100 AF assist lamp doesnt work, this is quite bad, although the camera bumped up the ISO to assist in Live View, but the AF Assist Lamp just won't ignite so it is difficult to autofocus in low light during live view
Does these problems happen with the Nikon D600?

Hello everyone
How does center metering works?
Does it only meter strictly at the CENTER of the image?
If I took the leftmost focus point as my point of focus, will it be based upon amongst the left side for center metering?

QUOTE(celciuz @ Feb 14 2013, 08:33 AM) Are you referring to center weighted metering? If center weighted, it will meter based on the center area, ignoring where your AF position is located. icic... thanks for telling

Totally confused on whether to get the D600 or the D7100 now =.=
How low can the price be for the D7100 after a few months of release since the D600 price dropped a lot

QUOTE(Silverfire @ Feb 21 2013, 10:58 AM) D600 if you want excellent image quality(FX) with D7000 specs. D7100 if you want excellent image quality(DX) with D800/D4 specs. Icic.. When I played the D600, the menus in it were really complete!.. what really bugs me is the Manual control in video mode, and live view mode where exposure preview is just not possible =.=

hopefully the price of the D600 will still drop a bit after the release of this D7100...
Can someone explain to me about this feature on the D7100?
"Sequential mechanism that contributes to high-speed operation"
Does this mean aperture control in live view similar to Canon's mechanism

QUOTE(Tony Stark @ Feb 21 2013, 11:17 AM) most people is complaining that the D800 has got too many MP, i was too. but after utilizing my 800 for quite a while now - wedding assignments, studio assignments..imo the MP is jussst nice. infact, it makes my D700's MP feels not enough so for those who dont wanna buy the D800 because of the MP, just buy it. its a great additional plus it has got a great dynamic range, movie mood (it works good for me ), dual card slots, bla bla..its a great camera imo What's the market price for the D800 now?

Hey everyone. May I know what is the recommended resolution per page to be used when printing an A4 size landscape photobook borderless? Is 4MP enough?

QUOTE(Silverfire @ Mar 17 2013, 02:19 PM) A4 is 11.7 x 8.3 in. So if you're printing at 300DPI that's 3510x2490 which is approx 8.7MP. 4MP is 2688x1520 is about 230DPI. I guess you can print 200DPI. The one i got is a 300DPI printing. Thanks for the info.

hey everyone
Which colour space do you use when taking photos? Adobe RGB or SRGB? I am going to make a photobook from iPhotobook which recommends me to use Gamma 1.8, which would be better?
