I using d3100 now but want to have more focus point and faster auto focus (since I like to shot on random people and sport etc)
Should I get a second hand d7000 or just wait for new d7100 come out?
When d7100 come out will d7000 price drop?

This is will be my first camera upgrade, and plan to get a prime lense for portrait shot after that

I actually bought D90 because I asked for his advise previously between 40D and D90

Well, that point of time I preferred the D90 over the 40D... newbie style of thinking hehe... cause D90 has better LCD display, newer sensor, and also I navigate better... I got kinda lost with the 40D... Was a newbie at that time, never played with both brands extensively before

im replying to my earlier post myself due to nobody replied

anyways, tried and tried it again n again, it seems that the middle AF is giving me quite accurate results. atleast 8/10 in focus which is good enough imo.

but i found the culprit behind this - the AF assist light that comes from my speedlight(s) (im using the SB700 and SB910 for the tests), once i turned off the AF assist light from the flashgun, things seems to be in good focus. im quite happy about this.

so..any of u is going thru this also? does this means my speedlights' AF assist light arent accurate? (note that i use 2 different speedlights and it gives me almost the same out of focus results, i had to put the AF fine tune on -20 when im using speedlight+AF assist from the speedlight, once AF assist is off, no fine tune is needed to nail a shot - using the 50mm 1.8G @ f2)

any thoughts is appreciated!

not fully.
flash hot shoe exposed, if use grip...then batt connector also can have moisture go in.
thats why the pro ones got special covers for hotshoe, and grip built in.

i thought D800 is weather sealed?
