QUOTE(??!! @ Aug 29 2006, 05:10 PM) Categg, Err.. here's the situation. I take a pic of my fren who is using his video cam to video tape me but he flipped his LCD the other side out showing his video feed to the LCD which shows me to myself taking a picture of him. Clear? End of day..a bit dense already. Can't figure out how yr pix is taken. Is the pix on the lcd an image of what 's in the 'actual' pix? I take a pic of my fren who is using his video cam to video tape me but he flipped his LCD the other side out showing his video feed to the LCD which shows me to myself taking a picture of him. Clear? So..You took pix of yr friend who is taking video of you taking pix of him video-ing you??? (Sorry if it sounded like some tongue twister!) Aiyoh..this one like doing a thesis on mathematical sets and sub-sets. This may look like a grey area. Ok, your pix showed you in the act of taking pix. But it is the act of you taking a pix of your friend, not of yourself. Let's look at the condition of the theme. QUOTE Pix of me taking pix Altho it wasn't meant to be so, but due to poor drafting of the conditions on my part, I'll say1. Pix must be taken by yourself. Passed this criteria ( ie not someone else take pix of you taking pix) Failed this criteria 2. Pix must show you taking the pix that you are posting. Passed this criteria, altho it's an image from the video feed Yes...1 point for you. Anyone wants to object, pl raise your objections by tomorrow morning. So, tonight, everyone can sleep soundly, tak payah kejar-kejar Good nite This post has been edited by ??!!: Aug 29 2006, 06:13 PM |

Buildings - beyond cold steel and hard concrete.
Easy enough theme. However, to make it more interesting, you have to attach a brief description of why the picture was taken in the first place. It could be the history that goes into the building( eg the pix I am posting); the unique architecture(eg Sydney Opera House) or something that moves you to tears.(eg a rambling hut that is home to someone or the undying love embodied in the Taj Mahal) In short, post a picture that tells a thousand words! Let's begin! Le Meridien at The Rialto, Melbourne Currently a hotel, it was built and used as a wool store during the reign of Queen Victoria. The 2 blocks are actually two separate buildings (look carefully and you'll notice the difference). The basement area was actually a street. The cobbled stone pavement with grooves carved by wheels of carts used in the old days are still maintained. A roof has been cleverly placed over the 2 blocks and the basement now serves as a cafeteria. Glass is placed over the end of the blocks to make the 2 blocks plus the pavement into one entity. The glass building we see beyond the glass is the Rialto Towers, tallest building in Melbourne. (Not sure if it has lost the title to any other buildings) Staying in there is like living a part of Melbourne's history! ![]() |

Respect: Earned not Forced.
![]() Respect for the national flag knows no known boundaries, as shown above, even the Sun, center of the Solar system shines its rays on the Jalur Gemilang, and the Penang State flag. I just cut and paste from my photo stories link, if acceptable.... Hm,...The buillding is definitely a pre-war building that has withstood the test of time and the Japanese occupation in Penang. Renovated a few years back to house the current tenant. This post has been edited by gold3knight: Aug 30 2006, 11:19 AM |

QUOTE(LanEvoX @ Aug 30 2006, 11:04 AM) No need grandma long story. Just some words to describe the emotions that the picture brought out in you when you took the pix. QUOTE(gold3knight @ Aug 30 2006, 11:05 AM) Respect: Earned not Forced. Good entry..but seem to be out of topic leh. ![]() Respect for the national flag knows no known boundaries, as shown above, even the Sun, center of the Solar system shines its rays on the Jalur Gemilang, and the Penang State flag. I just cut and paste from my photo stories link, if acceptable.... Steer the descrption to the building. Can maintain the one on the flag, but link it to the building. The main theme is : Buildings - beyond cold steel and hard concrete. |
