send my N7 to Asus center at lowyat yday, to fix my speaker buzzing problem

the catch here is my unit is rooted, i specifically told the lady that my unit is rooted, do u guys still accept for service? she said yes, as long as u didnt touch the hardware..

i tot they dont service rooted devices, just like Apple void warranty for jailbreak devices..

exactly my thought, dang now im worried

Called Asus Service Centre today to ask about my N7, the fella said N7 speaker no stock so cant fix my unit.
He said they ordered the speaker last week, according to the system stock should arrive mid or end of March ( FUUUUUU.. by the time finish fixing, its already April!)

I dun wanna wait that long, so i decided to take back my N7 first, once stock arrive he said they will call me.

yes, better safe then sorry, never pump to 100%

but there are also users that play movie, music, game at 100% volume and no problem

UPDATE no.2 on my post

So i went to LYP today, to collect my unfixed N7 (read post 2 u'll know why)
When it's my turn, the fella told me my N7 is not here and the speaker stock has arrived, so they can fix my N7. (what the @#%^!@!#)

Stock arrived adi, the unit is not ready to pick up then dont tell me to go collect la.. dang!

The fella click click his laptop and then said "yes confirm ur N7 can be fixed coz stock has arrived, so u can come collect tmr evening".. I told him please double DOUBLE confirm the speaker has arrived and can fix my N7 AND i can collect tmr... immediately he went in to the backdoor room for few minutes, then came out and said "yes sir, is confirmed, i called the center adi, ur unit is now at repair center, engineer is fixing it, ur unit should arrive here around 6pm tmr"

Nah, i did not screw the fella, he is just doing his job, it's Asus call center fella that didnt tell me that speaker stock has arrived.

Additional story, while i was there, there are at least 20 ppl in front of me waiting, while i was there standing and waiting, at least 3 ppl screw the customer service ppl. saying things like "I just used for 2 weeks la, now put here repair for a month and now u tell me still havent fixed!? how u guys do work wan!? call out the person in-charge!!"
Lots of drama while waiting.. fuuuuu

at least u got a call from call center, since the day i sent in, i got ZERO calls...
i have to be the one taking the initiative to call them and ask.. lazy b*&^$*ds

while i was there, almost all customers there that send in and collect are all Asus laptops (all shape and sizes), i think im the only one there servicing N7

u better go asap bro, they now got stock for the speakers, if they're out of stock again, god knows when the next batch may arrive

fuuuuuu.. what a fail company

best bet is... call them first before going there. ask whether they got stock for ur faulty part or not to avoid long waiting time and dissapointment...

i've been to lowyat, and i can assure u, the cases they sell there is expensive and limited choices, coz it seems the N7 is not that famous among lowyat buyers.

been using it ever since, i prefer this over the Blurex Ultra Slim case, it feels slimmer than Blurex eventhough Blurex has the "Ultra Slim" title on it..

guys, issit just me or my wifi got problem?

since yesterday the wifi icon is grey all the way and the connection is noticeably slow, usually it was blue in colour.

yes, i rebooted my N7
yes, i restarted my wireless router
yes, i've killed all tasks

anyone know what's the problem?

problem solved

1st, i edit my internet connection's dns1 n 2 using google dns
2nd, force update my device to 4.2.2, but get error, doesnt matter (maybe coz rooted)
3rd, manually change the time
4th, setting > accounts > Google > remove account, then go play store reconnect again

after googled around, this grey icon is cause my device is out of sync with google, just need to tweak several things to put it back.
