QUOTE(MikeX @ Feb 21 2013, 02:59 PM) Hi Ralph, can share the link/ step-by-step guide to do this? By the way, will it erase off the tethering hotspot function I have now on my N7C? oo.. yours are 7C.. mine is wifi ver. Thanks download voodoo's "OTA rootkeeper" from playstore, backup your root, update, and then restore root again with voodoo. i didn't flash any zip file into my n7, so can't confirm will erase off the tether function. you might want to wait until those geniuses at xda released 4.2.2 compatible hotspot function then you update. QUOTE(imranzero @ Feb 25 2013, 06:03 AM) Noob question here.. There's a notification that new sytem update downloaded.touch to install, the problem is my nex was root by previous owner..if i install the 4.2.2. Do i need to re-root it? yes you need to re-root ithere's a simpler way, download Voodoo's OTA rootkeeper, backup your root, update, and then restore root with it. It works on my N7. |

QUOTE(h@fiz @ Mar 13 2013, 05:50 PM) Anyone downloaded Real Racing 3? It's seem like never ending, always downloading for many times, although i downloaded RR3 but with different approachthe app total is already 897mb and data is 889mb. Still need to download more? the data file i use download manager on PC to download (can get from china sites) then copy everthing into N7, then run the app, leave it for a while (it want to download some more files) then voila, done. |

i'm using asus travel cover, and i LOVE it.
it covers the whole tablet, even the power and volume buttons, but still can see NEXUS, well it's official accessory anyways no magnet on the cover, which more preferable to me the screen cover flap thing have no any retention thing on it, which seems more natural. it's like bringing a book around. you don't strap the cover of a book, do you? oh, and it's slim too This post has been edited by ralph_d: Mar 22 2013, 04:01 PM |

QUOTE(Lim Wee Huat @ Mar 28 2013, 10:01 AM) Try temp+cpu V2.. It consumes the less ram and batt if compared to dashclock's.. I'm using Battery Widget Reborn!, actually.Edit: it's batt temp, not CPU temp.. You can't measure Nexus 7 CPU's temp. didn't use Dashclock's, but still using dashclock. downloaded temp+cpu v2, also showing battery temp downloaded system tuner, will upload soon This post has been edited by ralph_d: Mar 28 2013, 10:10 AM |

QUOTE(Candlenie @ Jun 7 2013, 11:16 AM) same, I'm thinking on whether to get N7 or ipad mini. Use it for almost everything (reading, movies, gaming, surfing net, fb). I'm a pro-android user, sometimes I probably will use it for dev purpose. But somehow the lack of quality apps really holds me back and I already have a few diff android phone. @@ tough choice don't know about tablet optimized apps but i'd still go for N7 because1. Screen resolution. This'll make a difference between a relaxed eye and sore eye while reading, browsing the web and watch movie. 2. Being a previous android user. I've bought apps from play store, and I'm not gonna buy the same app for the 2nd time. 3. gaming. 7" is just right for me. playing dead trigger where the finger need to be able to travel across the screen, and tilting the device while playing real racing 3. but, if you're gonna play with AR or take photo with your tablet, take the ipad mini then. |

QUOTE(Candlenie @ Jun 7 2013, 12:17 PM) Hmm...will it lag when running games? Not gonna take photo with tablets, it looks silly, and I have a HTC one x. Sounds tempting now no lageven if it's lag a bit, it's the game's fault (advertisements) since u own one x, if the game lags on your phone then probably it will too on N7, since both of them are running on Tegra 3... one x got NFC or not? like my phone got NFC, after i take picture i use android beam into my N7 to look at the pic, editing, and do posting, so, no back camera is no issue for me speaking of accessories, if you're planning to buy lots of them, stay away from N7, coz they're hard to find. QUOTE(Candlenie @ Jun 7 2013, 02:22 PM) Yeah my phone has NFC. haha not gonna use any accessories, I don't even using casings, that's why I'm considering N7, cause ipad mini will get scratched easily. yes, not many tablet optimised appOne thing I'm not sure is how well apps runs on android tablets, cause from what I know, there aren't many tablet optimized apps? No android tablet to try out those sort of things =/ N7 even use phone interface since we have up to 6", heck 7" phone also exist (phonepad? padphone? whatever) 7" w/o tablet optimised app is not an issue, since there's barely any waste of empty spaces with phone interface 10" and above w/o tablet optimised app, now that's an issue |

QUOTE(garytey @ Jun 7 2013, 03:12 PM) if a 7 inch tablet reduce bezel a lot, it wont be nice to hold cos you will easily touch the screen while reading i second thatunless it's an ipad mini, which i tested holding, touched the edge of the screen, the hand did not register. not sure whether it'll affect gaming experience or not... |
