Dear Guys,

I have used a LG Nexus 4 for 1.5 months and absolutely love it. So I I wanna buy a Nexus 7 32GB Wifi only (I dont know the price but maybe around RM900?). However, i have read some website articles that say Google I/O in May gonna Launch new Nexus 7.7

Articles say Nexus 7.7 will be:-

1. same price as N7;
2. built by LG;
3. with 7.7 inch screen;
4. conflicting articles say will launch 8GB only or 16GB / 32GB.

Do you think I should wait another 2 months? I will want 32GB but not 16GB or less.

And I want Wifi only. why buy with cellular when can thethering from Handphone data plan?

Actually I am not urgently in need of it. just that my children and wife now monopolise my iPad already. And also itchy to have a Google Tablet experience.

Thank you for your sound opinion. The lack of back cam in N7 doesnt bother me much cause i dont take pictures much. However, with better specs + Key Lime Pie, I think I will wait for nexus 7.7 (albeit as someone else in forum said the N7.7 will be more expensive compared to N7). just gotta fight the urge!!!

By the way anyone know the price of N7 32 GB Wifi only? where to buy is best? a friend suggested ALLIT in Lowyat.

called newegg malaysia, they said no stock. gotta wait 3-4 weeks. anyway, I dont' like to shop online cause i like to ask questions about product, have the sales ppl put in screen protector for me, slowly choose a case that I like etc.

While I won't rush out to buy the N7 just yet. The next time I am in Lowyat I will just check it out and see whether I can still fight the urge. Judging from another forumner's opinion that N7.7 may only be available in Malaysian Stores in Aug/Sep (another 6 months)t and also uncertainty about GB and price....then that makes me rather impatient..

So I have used Nexus 4 for past 1.5 months. impressed and thinking of getting Nexus 7. What the heck.... i just got the Nexus 7 C today for RM1099. Now here are some problems which i have encountered. guys please help.


1. Goes to sleep by itself rasndomly (sometimes after 10 seconds) even if I have set to go to sleep after 2 minutes of inactivity)

2. then to unlock from sleep [whether by way of swipe or pattern] is commonly unresponsive (80% of the time). I have to hold on/off button for 10 seconds to restart then only can unlock. and then very soon it will happen again. what gives? hardware problem? this happened not long after I unboxed it and still happens even after JB 4.2.2 update. This is really annoying.

3. I can't delete photos from gallery which seems to have synced from my N4 handphone and office PC. Even now that I have disabled "Sync Photos" from Google Account. The photos are still in the N7 gallery and can't be deleted.

Help!!!!

OK Thanks got you on No.3. But factory reset? OMG after spending whole afternoon of downloading apps and personalising my N7C? is there any other way? TQ

No need. after factory reset, have to key in google account. then Google will download all the erased apps.

But have to manual settings again only no prob.

Try Playing your movies (not sure can play music or not) with an app called Dice Player downloaded from Google Play. It has an enhance sound feature up to 400% of the volume.

Another thing want to share is, when earphone plug in, to my horror very low volume or one ear only got sound or crackling. after doing checking in forums, many have given the solution = earphone jack not fully plug in yet. have to push very very hard. Presto problem solved.

Had my nexus 7C for a few days now. Got a question. would appreciate some help. I am The Star ePaper subscriber. 2 days ago, when I entered the Star ePaper App, it says I got only 1 issue left to download and after that my subscription ends. Anyway I downloaded that issue with no problems.

Today, I try download today's issue and sure enough cannot download. Now, I have checked that my subscription doesnt end until end May. So in the App > Settings > Manage/Set Account > then I saw it was set up to a subscriber called "android _ xxxxxxxxxxxxxx" (don't know why or who is that - why was that android account even set up at all?)

Anyway in the Manage/Set Up account, I try to set up my real personal ePaper account, but pop-up says "too many activations. please deauthorise one of the existing devices before proceeding with this one".

I thought of deactivate that "android_xxxxxxxxxx" account but dont know how to do it. does anybody know? TQ


Ok Ok, does it mean that if my account is already activated in my iPad, then I have to deactivate in the ipad then only activate in Nexus 7?

when i factory reset my nexus 7, after that have to sign in to my google account. then google play automatically download all my apps including paid apps

something to share and can anybody verify this?

I few days ago, my new Nexus 7 cannot unlock whether by slide or pattern. I always have to off and on again then can unlock. somoebody suggested factory reset, which I have done. Now still got the same problem.

I just googled this problem and in the following forum, the last post suggested that this problem is actually caused by the case cover magnet = when case cover is folded all the way behind the device then this happens. if just open cover case like a book then no problem.

OK problem settled. Had to deauthorise my Star account in iPad then authorise it in my Nexus 7.

I want to ask 3 noob questions:-

1. I have Nexus 7 C cellular. can I use a phone line + data plan SIM card in the N7C? Of course I wouldnt be able to make calls but that SIM card is for my 3rd Phone that I want to retire off.

2. Does N7C use normal size SIM or micro SIM?

3. Some people say charge to N7 only for few hours. What if I charge when going to bed and stop when wake up (about 7-8 hours) will it damage the battery?

2 weird things happened

Weird #1

The last 3 days went for family holiday and all decided not to bring any tablets. Left on friday morning with ipad and nexus 7 fully charged. Came back Sunday evening and looked at ipad battery was at 95%. However, N7 battery was completely flat and N7 was off. Ok no problem. Just charge N7 and switch it on.

Weird #2

With the N7 now on. The wifi is connected. But cannot connect to internet. Many websites and apps cannot and show error. I was about to give up when i tried the bookmark to this forum and can connect! Well something's going on. Tried the other apps and websites again but still cannot until one app said cannot connect as date setting is incorrect! Then i checked my N7 date and time and sure enough it was set to 1st January 2000. Wtf? How did this happen? Then reset date to current date. After that all apps and websites can connect already.

Dear Guys,

Need some help. Lately, Opera Mini Browser in my N7 gives me a black screen. It is my default browser, so any homescreen shortlink to websites also gives me black screen. have to go to Settings>Apps>Opera Browser>clear data > clear cached > then reinstall Opera Mini. well that kinda sucks. Also using Opera Mini in my N4 Smartphone but no problems.
