QUOTE(benny888 @ Feb 14 2013, 10:16 AM) There is already one - and is not a bad rom , one of the better ones I'd say ( tested previously his 4.2.1 ) : Codefire X http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2043095I believe over the next few days you will be seeing developers releasing their 4.2.2 version. As is only a minor update, it is not that difficult for them to do it If huge updates like 5.0

QUOTE(CyberKewl @ Feb 14 2013, 11:48 PM) BTW i managed to upgrade from 4.2.1 rooted with custom kernel to 4.2.2 by doing this: 1. Use Voodoo OTA Rootkeper to backup your root and temporarily unroot. 2. Revert back to stock kernel here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=342544733. Revert to original power.grouper.so, extract system.img from google's 4.2.1 full 200mb+ original firmware and extract using http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1921399. It's in /system/vendor/lib/hw 4. Get the new 4.2.2 update: http://android.clients.google.com/packages...0D.6ece895e.zip5. Flash with custom recovery (I used TWRP at the time) 6. Reboot. Use voodoo ota rootkeeper to restore backup SU to get back root. 7. Flash TWRP or CWM using fastboot mode or you can use the Nexus 7 toolkit via menu option 11 (just choose 4.2.1 when prompted with firmware version, don't worry, option 11 will work with 4.2.2 too) Done If we update via ota, then our root will gone and no root cannot use supersu

QUOTE(CyberKewl @ Feb 15 2013, 11:06 AM) That's the point i mention in no 6 - use voodoo ota rootkeeper to restore the supersu which is root...you have to backup first using the same app before you update, then restore it using the same app after update to 4.2.2... Root can be restored and can be used in latest version?

QUOTE(benny888 @ Feb 15 2013, 11:43 AM) Come on, do read his posts properly before asking Of course you can backup your root using rootkeeper Even you lose root is no big deal. Just use nexus toolkit and root it again but choose 4.2.1 since software is not updated And dont ask again whether it can be done. Of course it can be done . I just did it for my friend lastnight That time I have triple confirmed with you that aokp can update without wiping data, only cache and dalvik, after that I got this error: unfortunately, keyboard(aosp) has stopped working, luckily I did a backup

QUOTE(gin&tonic @ Feb 17 2013, 09:24 AM) Need to queue. Latest update is 4.2.2. It will eventually come to u. Just need to wait. Go to apps>all>Google framework>force stop>clear data>DISABLE>ENABLE,take note that disable and enable is very important, some people got ota update by this step, but some didn't because they did not disable and enable

QUOTE(talzer @ Feb 18 2013, 09:44 PM) hey does rooting n7 requires 'unlock'? unlocking boatloader will void the warranty? is there anyway to root without unlocking boatloader and void the warranty? If you scare warranty void, just unroot and relock, last time I'm like you
