Those who is curious to know how much to replace a screen, it will cost rm430 official from Asus. I just sent mine in because of a hairline cracking from btm left to top right that cause half of my screen to be unusable. Hope I can claim it for free because I didn't drop my n7 or did anything to the screen.

QUOTE(BlackWoods @ Feb 19 2013, 09:46 AM) Unlocking and rooting will void the warranty immediately. Hi. Still undecided whether the unroot my N7 due to warranty concerns. Would ASUS still entertain such claim as long as we lock and unroot our devices before the claim? And is the procedure simple enough as rooting? You have to lock it and unroot again if you want to claim your warranty back. Also, noticed some wired respond on my N7 recently. Screen seems to be pressed / triggered on its own at certain location some time, even though i'm not pressing the screen at all! A screen lock or worst case reboot will definitely solve the problem, but i'm still not sure what causes it. Faulty screen maybe? |

And is the procedure simple enough as rooting? yup, i also encountered this screen issue but just once. It was like there is invisible fingers keep tapping randomly on the screen. But after a force reboot (holding the power button for a few secs), my N7 get back to normal and the problem never occurs again until today. Also, noticed some wired respond on my N7 recently.
