temp for my N7 seem high at 40'C - 45'C on idle and 60'C highest. currently im using Motley Kernel + trickster mod. current frequency is at 1300mhz (1025mv).

is it normal or not?

5 finger pinch = home
4 finger up = recent apps
4 finger left = next app
4 finger right = previous app
4 finger up = menu button
5 finger rotate = off screen
4 finger double tap top half of screen = scroll to top of page
4 finger double tap bottom half of screen = scroll to bottom of page

use AOKP rom, enable hide nav bar.
no need nav bar and can operate the tablet like a boss.

I got use lmt launcher. No need pie.
Furthermore the notifications bar is useful.
I want it. I only want to hide the nav bar.

Speaker quality seems big issue in this N7
Luckily mine has no such problems till now n already coming to 6 months usage

Having a Nexus 7 make me ditch my Android phone (I will only use it as tethering). Somehow I end up wanting to receive everything on my Android phone screen (Text and Calls) on my Nexus 7 screen instead. There's of course an app for that.

That being said, I tend to use Nexus 7 a lot until i treated it like a phone. (But no I don't call people I just like receiving and replying notifications all in one place) but its lacking something. A back camera.

New Nexus 7 I'm positive they will have a back camera as well as front ones. Plus, with better screen size and HDMI enabled ready, and I'm sure Google will surprise us with more stuff (Android 5.0 maybe?).

But, the waiting is not only until May. The stock will most likely release somewhere early June, then reach malaysia somewhere early August (just like Nexus 7). If you can wait then it is fine. But the price for 32GB = definitely won't be at RM900. RM900 should be 8GB or if we are lucky 16GB (doubtful if they added more cool hardwares)

If you buy now no you won't have any regret. Nexus 7 is great plus all its libraries are live online. Don't worry about future updates (i would say).

My gf owns a Nexus 4 and I owns a Nexus 7. To be honest, I find both to be very very similar, just the lack of a back camera on the Nexus 7. Both offers smooth stock rom, snappy quad core processors.
In fact, Nexus 4's snapdragon processor outscores Nexus 7's tegra 3 processor. 

For Nexus 7, I would say it can support up to 1 more major update (5.0)
For Nexus 7.7, I am quite sure it will be at 5.0 at launch, supporting 1 more major update (6.0). (more future-proof) 

If your not in a hurry, I advise u to wait for Nexus 7.7. The experience with Nexus 4 and 7 is very similar. Just that the fact that Nexus 7 has a bigger screen and more syok in watching videos and surfing the net.

I mean, if u get Nexus 7 now, you will get similar experience with your Nexus 4. The only upside is that the screen size brings more pleasure in watching videos and surfing the net. And gaming more syok.

If you can control the itch in ur hand, wait for Nexus 7.7! It will definitely be worth the wait. 

Yeah, its happened quite some time actually, 3 days after I purchased. All this while just using external speaker.

When the time its happened, I'm not put the volume the max actually.

Nexus 7 speaker is really soft and I really can't hear it without putting it more than 80%.

Such behaviour is not normal
If I were you, I would go claim warranty for replacement battery

No problem on my unit in battery.
I didn't root my nexus yet and it takes about 3 hour + to fully charge from 1%.

Rooted device can have better charging rate as well

charged already from just now until now. still cannot on. 

Maybe they did check within their system but they didn't ask me for any black and white. They took, ask whats the problem and then ask me to come within one week. But they(the techinician) did call on the third day, asking whats the problem. Then he inform me, need to swap the screen.

But the sad part is, my screen protector gone.    Need to buy a new one.

2 weird things happened

Weird #1

The last 3 days went for family holiday  and all decided not to bring any tablets.  Left on friday morning with ipad and nexus 7 fully charged.  Came back Sunday evening and looked at ipad battery was at 95%. However,  N7 battery was completely flat and N7 was off. Ok no problem.  Just charge  N7 and switch it on.

Weird #2

With the N7 now on.  The wifi is connected.  But cannot connect to internet.    Many websites and apps cannot and show error.  I was about to give up when i tried the bookmark to this forum and can connect!  Well something's going on. Tried the other apps and websites again but still cannot until one app said cannot connect as date setting is incorrect!  Then i checked my N7 date and time and sure enough it was set to 1st January 2000.  Wtf?  How did this happen? Then reset date to current date.  After that all apps and websites can connect already.

Already ask asus e-gate penang yesterday. Rm800 for screen replacement

Ah, mine battery life seems bad as well, not too sure if it is me too sensitive or the device is used to be like this.

Stock rom and not rooted device, with power off for whole night and turn back on the next day(bout 8 hours), the battery life dropped by 30percent...

Try a clean reboot to see if it is apps making fun~
Hold and touch the 'Power off' for more than 3 secs will be prompted for a safe reboot

thought N7 doesn't have any card slot ??
most probably annouce during google I/O on mid May and release on July
