When I go there, many Langkawi people suggested me to go there. Since I'm Muslim, I'm asking them about Halal or not, they just answer Halal and its 100% pork free. There are a lot of Malay eat there.

I just came back from langkawi. Stayed there 4d 3n...yes the suspension bridge is closed for maintenance but the cable car is still operating. Can still go up and enjoy the view.

Car rental is pretty cheap and lotsa offers around. I got a gen.2 for rm150 for the whole trip.

Here's a tip

The best thing to do is average about 1 litre to about 11kms for national car..thats what i do, fill rm23 petrol then read the odometer. If ur foot is lighter then u can stretch even to 13-15km per litre for a 1.6 car but thats quite optimistic unless its a vios/city that u rent.

They gave me empty, i gave them back the same or even less biggrin.gif.....

i read b4 a blog got recommend a seafood restaurant in langkawi..
the name is called "A hole in the Wall" its located in GEOpark i think..
can do a google..

I went to the restaurant b4....its only accessible by boat at kilim jetty...cooking wise, its just so-so and the price is also quite steep but the scenery is beautiful....

If you want to go for the experience and ambience, then its worth it but if you expect great seafood cooking, then don't be disappointed.
