hmmm any good place for dinner @ langkawi?

any recommendation?

oh i heard Kuah town is a bit far from pantai cenang (the place where we stay)
need about 30min drive to there, yah?

wonder is there a romantic candle light dinner along the beach side?
budget is not a problem.

- Gunung Raya the highest peak in Langkawi and to see Hornbill.

Visitors with more than 72 hours stay in Langkawi are exempt on items like wines and liquor (1 liter), tobacco (200 cigarettes), apparel, cosmetics, souvenirs and gifts, food and food preparations and portable electronic items (one item).

1 litre of alchohol limitation to bring back...hhmmmm...

means roughly how many bottles can i buy fro not exceeding 1 litre?

Maybe 1 bottle is enough edy. Carrying too many bottles also heavy

aiyor...must control otheriwse would be getting big belly due to execssive of alchohol

In the mood to write a brief review of my Langkawi trip, 31/6 to 2/7

Let me summarize the expenses :

AirAsia Return Tickets for two, RM 500.00
Accomodation @ Sunset Beach Resort for 2 nights, RM 380.00
Meal / Surveniors / Entertainment, roughly about RM 500.00

Highly recommending this resort!

Love the exotic resort feel, the private beach, the sandy sand, the wave & breeze, and never forget to mention, the friendly resort attendances

Therefore, we settle down with a Proton Waja 1.6 (A) for RM 140 @ 3 Days
which we think should be a good bargain
We filled around RM30.00 petrol, and it was suffiecient to round the whole Langkawi island!

The weather is freaking HOT! we were roasted



Some Duty Free Items:

We bought a bottle of 750ml SWING for RM 95.00
(Langkawi airport is selling the same thing for RM 120.00 )
and a BLACK LABEL at 1L for RM 75.00

And of course, some chocalates & Ciggy.




Places that we didn't go:

- Island hoping (heard that it is being too commerialized, and nothing much to see except mountains & sea)

- Underwater World (after reading the reviews in LYN, we decided to skip this either, we have been to Singapore Underwater World, afterall)


Conclusion :

It is a super relaxing trip @ Langkawi.
Great experience for 1st timer like me

there are A LOT of stalls along Pantai Cenang, operating @ night time, mostly

i spent my love one for a romantic sea side dinner at Garden Beach Resort, food was okay, ambience was sweet, awww i love the place so much!

nice choice of accomdation
i was staying there during my last trip in june! awesome and friendly services i would say.

you may call the contact numbers, telling them when are you going to stay in
they will give you a banking details (public bank iiam)
once you bank in, fax the slip as a proof back to them

tips : you may bank in half of the lodging fees, the rest, when you reach there, baru you pay the remaining

terus book ah? erm i am not so sure, but you may ring them and enquire.

yes, when u arrive langkawi airport, no need to worry about car rental because there are around 5-7 booth of car rental company just right inside the airport

they'll wave to you, offering you their car rental services

try to bargain with'em

my honey got a proton waja 1.6 (auto), 3d2n, for RM 140 only

langkawi road is so free and easy to ride

the road is well tar, less car, no traffic jam, no traffic lights, (only in big town like kuah town)

airport tax is about RM 80++

u have wide selection of western & local food there

western - can be found along pantai cenang

local food (mostly operate by malays) - check out kuah town

food is not a problem in langkawi, and to my surprise,
the food there tasted superb
