Yeah I also find it strange (but glad la) that they send us progress statement but still the bank has not draw down. Made me panic.. ha ha .. but the lawyer already asked me for Stamp Duty. Ouch ouch... say, for Phase 1, there is no S&P charges but have Stamp Duty right?

They give 90 days grace period, as I email them on this matter in may when my loan still not sorted out.

The stamp duty cost abt 20k if ur house 800k.
There is an escalating formula, easily google out. Ouch

1 - Stamp Duty on sales and purchase agreement - Nominal RM 10 per copy , or calculated based on property price?

2 - Stamp Duty on loan agreement - calculated based on loaned amount

3 - Stamp Duty on MOT - calculated based on property price.

Thanks to noob websites posting confusing information, I've been having a tough time to understand all the calculation. They worded the terms wrongly! vmad.gif

Don't la all also call stamp duty.
1st is call S&P (for lawyer-a few k)
2nd is call loan agreement fee(also for lawyer)
3rd which I refer here, is actually call MOT ( for Pejabat tanah)

RHB can give up to BLR - 2.5 (but must take MRTA), without MRTA it'll be BLR - 2.45
