Hi, do anybody know how to setup a home web server to host my own website using Unifi? How to deal with the dynamic IP and does Unifi allow us to do this. Thanks.

Great! do you have the guideline to setup this thing? I seen somewhere ppl say unifi wireless modem has ddns function, meaning I dont have to subcribe to other ddns provider?

His intention is just to advertise his service.

Is there a lot of security concern if I put up the webserver? Hackers etc

then he should quote u instead of me

anyway, that would depend
if it's managed hosting, then the host will take care of everything but if it is un-managed hosting you'll have to manage it yourself.

ddos protection/script loophole fixes/etc
you dun need to worry for setting up and such though as web hosting they normally use certain control panel to let you manage it easily ~

the function of ddns inside the router just a script to connect to ddns service u subscribed, it didnt do more than that. u still need to subscribe to ddns provider as usual, and this provider must be supported by your router. else, u have to install your own script in your web server to update new dynamic ip to your hostname. dont forget to do port forward on tcp/80 port :-)
