Same. Could get 3G. Tweet @MaxisListen with your number and location and they will reset your 3G setting. Mine works fine after the reset.
Don't update to IOS 6.1, Maxis line

Crap. Back to same problem. If I leave iPad alone for few hours in a bag, 3G disappears. Had to cycle power to get it back. Same issue when first bought back in Apr 2012. Seems whatever update to LTE is not compatible with Maxis.
