QUOTE(angrydog @ Oct 4 2009, 06:52 PM) Uh, where? There isn't any space in the immediate vicinity for a pool. Plus, the entire Curve complex is built on top of underground parking. The new FF Platinum club with pool is at Empire Gallery, KL (not sure where that is). The Curve and Klang Bkt Tinggi will not have pool

QUOTE(bubb13s @ Oct 15 2009, 04:31 PM) guys... i was just wondering how many people joined fitness first for more than 1 year and already signed up for the platinum membership conversion by recommitting yourself for 1 more year (did not pay the 109 conversion fee)? i recently found out that new joiners that have already been with the club for 3 mths will get the offer to convert to platinum by recommitting themselves for another year(no need to pay conversion fee). this means that they just need to commit themselves for 1 year and 3 mths. i find this very unfair for members who already been with the club for more than 2 years like myself who are getting 0 benefits from the club. what are your opinions? I've been IOI Home member since opening, and they have upgraded me to towel service, plus another branch. Quite satisfied so far. Wonder if they have any offers for Home members to convert to Platinum rather than just for Passport -> Platinum....

QUOTE(BlackGold @ Oct 19 2009, 03:12 AM) anyone willing to teach me how to build up body like PT do??..coz i really cant afford to hire one =( ..im a student n still new on bodybuilding..really need guide as im lost here... Do some reading on the Internet. As a beginner, concentrate more on the basics such as benchpress, squats, deadlifts, pullups/pulldowns. You can also try asking the ppl around the gym, even the PTs (without charge) if you are unsure of anything.

QUOTE(Syd G @ Oct 19 2009, 04:03 PM) Add RM109 fee. Get platinum membership. If you're a member more than 3 months, you can get platinum just by committing another year. Benefit includes towel service and access to platinum clubs (the curve, bukit tinggi, empire gallery subang) & other stuff (2 weeks DVD rental, discount to FF stuff etc). PT sessions approx RM100/session. Buy more, save more. It's standard price set by FF but you can personally deal with your PT for extra complimentary sessions. Cheap/expensive is relative. If you know what you're doing then its expensive. If you have 0 knowledge and too lazy/scared/not confident to learn on your own then its cheap. I think this should be qualified to mean for Passport members only (add RM109 fee or Passport member > 3 months), right?

Hmm...they already have a FF at Wisma Consplant, and they are gonna have a Platinum club with swimming pool at Empire Gallery near Subang Parade which is like a stone's throw away from Wisma Consplant? WTH are they thinking? I wonder what happens to Home members at The Curve and Klang Bkt Tinggi, will they be denied access once their home branch gets upgraded to Platinum? Hahaha

QUOTE(99below0 @ Oct 25 2009, 05:52 PM) Added on October 25, 2009, 5:54 pmI heard they are going to close the Consplant branch and move it to Empire Gallery. Home members of Curve and KBT will get upgraded to Platinum with only access to their own branch and no towel service. That's not bad...Platinum clubs will have better toiletries and better equipment it seems.

Actually the whole Empire complex is of questionable workmanship....just park your car at the basement parking and judge for yourself

QUOTE(mycoffee @ May 20 2010, 03:38 PM) Been at FF Empire 2 days ago. It was a rainy day and i saw pails being placed all over the gym to catch water leakages. Main studio was too warm and the floor was a bit too "bouncy" during high-intensity cardio classes. Also, they forgot to put hooks in the changing room and on the toilet doors - inconvenient. Overall, it looked quite chic and modern but I personally felt it to be a bit too cramped. And not having a dedicated "Mind & Body" studio was not a good idea, i thought. Guess what? It's happening at FF IOI Mall too...those leaking and pails...

QUOTE(djcarmen @ May 22 2010, 10:35 AM) IOI too? ...i know IOI is known for the slippery cardio room floor. but that's because ppl sweat till they drop there.. LOL~ just sunbathe there.. =D can now imagine the amount of gay guys all trying to show off there.. LOL~ FYI IOI does not have a cardio room, but a cardio area....never find it a slippery portion of the gym...but I've seen people falling down from the threadmill because they tried to step out of it before it completely stops... duh...

QUOTE(arnold @ Aug 18 2010, 01:21 PM) anyone happy with their stay in Fitness First? I've been with FF IOI ever since they opened there. The thing I like is the branch manager really deals with the comments I made whether thru online posting or the suggestion/comments box at the front. Used to have frequent cases of not enough towels during peak periods, broken electrical stuff.....all attended to really quickly after I made the comments. What more can I ask?

Consplant closed due to Empire's opening. The next nearest 'normal' FF branch would be Summit.

QUOTE(aisrain @ Feb 13 2011, 03:25 PM) Then what is the point for being a first club member? I thought only first club members can bring guest in @.@ I think that FAQ has not been updated for...ages... Then again, with commercial gyms, all are just marketing hype/gimmicks.

FML. Always be on guard at the gym. Just a few days ago while at the locker, one old fat uncle was watching gay SM porn on his laptop! And he turned on the volume so loud that even others saw what he was watching. <picture whipping sound, cepiak, cepiak etc...) And he suddenly asked me whether it was raining outside. Wondering is that code word for something....
