the shop you bought your bike from???

else, i think it is more or less there especially when you didn't buy your replacement chain from there.,..

different shops might charge differently but there is no set way on how to charge especially when you are asking them to work on more than 1 item...

usually, some shops might have a chart to say how they charge for each type of service.. but when you combine a few items, they might charge in one lump sump instead of combining all the items as it would result in too high a cost...

not from the shop i got the bike from though, a newly made friend's shop doh.gif kinda shocked when he mentioned the price. should have gotten myself 10 ringgit chain tool and do it myself. Not sure why he doesnt follow the length of the old chain then transfer that measurement to the new one but instead he started it from scratch.

got a pair of 25mm, would like to see whether is it better than 23mm, certainly is, roll over small bump certainly have lesser effect than the 23mm, sort of like cushioning, but my first day with them is quite unlucky, almost the end of the group ride, person front of me didn't point out the pot hole ahead that is around 2 inch plus deep, and I got a flat rear after that. Is it possible that the lower pressure has causes it ? I ran it lower than the 23mm.

most likely to be just co-incidence... but if you have the scientific spirit... you can mount up your 23mm or 25mm with higher pressure and ram the same pothole again to see if it pinch flats?

it is usual to run 25 with lower pressure as studies indicate that at maximum pressure, it is actually increasing the rolling resistance... if my memory serves me right...

haha, that would be extreme, wouldn't wanna risk puncture again. Wonder if most of you guys using stand pump with pressure gauge ? Will that help to get the ideal pressure ?
