bwahaha.. you guys aa..sometime i also confuse..a bunch of trollers or riders? eh Rm200 for the wire? I'm not sure how it will improve my sandy dusty cable but it sure gonna look nice on my bike. I'm a sucker for things that will improve the look of my cheap bikes.

OK will visit the velocipit in March (provided i skipped the Red lah, deep inside me I scared later sram introduce the 11 speed version days after i buy the old one)

miao..your racun for the sl4 I makan already..but this crotch cam thingy also in my cycling roadmap tongue.gif

today I rode 46km...feels like giving up when facing the headwind and sidewind..averaging 25kmh feels like half dead already..i wonder how the pros doing the tour of qatar..it's pretty much the same dreaded desert wind hmm.gif

haha. then what is the sound advice? no upgrade for me till the end of this year lah..just wait and see..perhaps upgrade the rm200 ilink cable and get a fitting.

anyway can a cramp be associated with a poor fitting? i tend to feel like cramping on the left thigh..could be resulted from the numbness on my left foot. right leg no problem at all.

I know my bike fitting is a bit off..but let's put it on hold for my new bike. In my route where I usually cycle, the Zipp 404 will be meaningless. In fact i'm pretty sure it will act more weirder than my FR0 when it face the desert gale!

I rode 50km today, nearly get smoked by my ride buddy (an uncle with his aluminium bike, who lost 17kgs since the last 6 months by riding his bike day in and day out). I rode with him once when he was 3 months into cycling and still overweight. Now, on average he cycled 50km each day, 300km per week, and 1200km per month.

I cycle on average 300km on the open road (because I have no car yet), and roughly 100km on my indoor trainer session monthly. I could say he's on par with me at the moment (although I noticed I talk more fluently at a 30kmh avg speed).

So I have a revelation. It's the mileage! It's not about the bike! And he's upgrading to an 18k bike soon. Unless I cycle more often, that 50 year-ish uncle will put my carbon bike, my FR0, my luxury Rapha's, my whatever to the wall of shame. There. Right in the middle of the desert. On the sand dune!

Perhaps a top end bike will ease my journey? YOLO YOLO! hmm.gif

So our next ride will be on the climbing route. I guess my 30k total elevation in my leg will be an advantage. I wonder if it will be similiar to Fraser climb or not.

For those with Strava, I just found out you could do a very nice stats for your forum signature using VeloViewer.

persistence has always been the key to everything...

hell no... the climb is not gonna be like frasers... frasers is freakin long for the elevation it climbs..

yours is 14KM to climb more than 1200meters...that is in excess of 10% gradient on average... it is more like gohtong jaya to genting highlands by comparison...and in the heat out in the open... i really wonder what the view looks like from the top of a bald mountain...

snap some nice shots if you do...
*
Honestly, kudos to him. I was really surprised by his improvements! It's time for me to hop on my trainer daily flex.gif

We planned for the 14km stretch climbing, skipping the route all the way to the feet of the mountain (Some riders rode the longer route prior to the climb which take roughly 4 hrs). Is it really like Goh Tong to Genting Highland? In that case I can't underestimate the climb lah...

Another thing is, the uncle I think is the best salesman I ever encountered. He told me, life is short, so just get the best bike you could afford. It sparks something in me...hurmmmm sweat.gif

Anyone fancy a Broga loop this coming school holiday end of March? thumbup.gif

no climb should be under-estimated, ever.... whether it is a bad day on the bike or unexpected or unforeseeable gradients... it can catch you at the wrong timing and murder your ass..

your unker is better than our unker miao???

well, at the end of the day... it is all about how you justify your spending... if you start thinking that life is short on everything to justify them.. you will be down in deep debts and your life will really be damn short by then...

so, jus think twice on everything as you still have at least 30-40 years to go?? you don't want to spend it repaying debts due to that thing that you think you should own or do before you die...

unless you have loads of spare money sitting somewhere where you do not know what to do with it...i don't see why something expensive can be justifiable just by "life is short"...it is short, but not to the point of having to go through un-necessary things...
*
Well the abundance of money will come in time. So let say the amount collected already enough so that's when the justification is needed to buy the dream bike or not tongue.gif

Hence the term YOLO.

But then i admit there are many things to weigh before landing on the decision..marriage is one thing! It costs a bomb nowadays. Haihs

So what are the two prominent groups in msia? P2k and bjcc is it? The last option would be the LYN2K. Lol.

Damn the tanah runtuh looks like no choice to pass.

Can i ride, HOA-genting sempah-bentong-gap? Is there a loop for that?

PCC is it??? BJCC sounds like blow job cunts club  blush.gif

Let you know what... you take my favourite route... i guarantee you it puts vin_ann's ride to shame... so much shame that he will never ever be motivated to challenge anyone ever again...

Depending from where you are -> Batu Caves -> Ulu Yam -> KKB -> Gap -> Frasers Hill -> Tranum -> Raub -> Bentong -> Karak -> Bukit Tinggi -> Genting Sempah -> Genting Highlands -> Genting Sempah -> Back Home

should be an estimated of 10,000 feet of climbing all in one day... i bet this would bust even P2K's balls... bwahahahaha...

fyi, i have never tried it before... don't hold me responsibble...

on a serious note... i don't think there is a direct jump to Gap from bentong... it goes through raub and then tranum which is the other side of the climb up to gap if i am not wrong

see this

Bjcc bukit jelutong cycling club if im not mistaken dinraxx is in that group.

Oi the route u suggest too epic to fail lah! The impossibleisnull that one he is an uber epic rider.

I prefer something like hoa to further more than janda baik. But the requirement is this. It must be an old route, less cars, scenic ride. So from janda baik where can i go?

gonna buy a replacement lens for my radar. should i get the vented lens, or the normal one?
*
Vented will prevent fogging in your lens which bugged me on my every ride break (I use non vented).

Just wondering, how much is the new Dura Ace 9000 groupset price in Malaysia and which shop is selling it? I know pedalspot only carries Sram. The 11 spd looks inviting..

And how much is the Ultegra Di2 price?

I know Red is the lightest groupset but just wondering the prices in Msia.

would not be the worst choice in the world... although it should be the third tier down the line of the madone lineup by now..

is it the new revamped 5 or the old one...

the new 5 is sweet... it has all the techno funko from the new 7 series like the rear brakes under the chainstay, kam tail aero shape and stuff like that...

it just misses out the stepjoint carbon layup and uses some lesser grade carbon and not so high tech top secret epoxy and carbon layup the 6 and 7 series uses....but still retains bb90 and the ride tuned seatmast

all if the price is acceptable and not considered too expensive by you first...i think they had also brought the 6 series price down to affordable levels or not as far as you would have thought...
*
It's the new 2013 version. Yes it has the Kam tail and the hidden rear brakes under the chainstay (which I read from reviews it is the worst place to put a brake as it will accumulate dirts easily).

Not that expensive when you could get a complete bike with just a tad expensive than the price of an sworks frame (non complete bike).

However the head tube seems a bit tall for my liking. It doesn't seems racy enough though. No price available on the 6 series but there's a new Trek boutique opening soon next month so I might give them a visit.
