Look at the EMC carefully especially around the BB and lower chainstays. I saw a few things with what looks like iffy paint but didnt dig deeper.

See if you can nix a test ride =P .... miracles happen everyday laugh.gif

from a price point of view, Fuji since it's so damn cheap if you don't mind their in house oval parts and a mixture of cranks and calipers

else, the EMC for paper spec because of the carbon chainstay and an in house carbon seatpost and pretty much a full 105 setup for that price point which is not going to happen much often...

but, again.. as said then and always.. you have to see which shop you prefer as buying a bike is not as simple as just buying the bike itself... if you run into problems after purchase and the service is sucky as hell... you might as well make do with another bike or you end up paying for service at another shop that you didn't buy from... that itself, you have to be a judge yourself when you speak to them...

Completed my maiden 50km charity bike ride yesterday. Was quite an experience considering it's the furthest distance i've ridden thus far blush.gif Had a few climbs that were torturous and despite being in the lowest gear it was a difficult climb. Overall was a good ride saw a few riders with carbon/fancy wheels at the side of the road repairing their puncture hmm.gif

Glad my tyres pulled me through without any dramas rclxms.gif Next up a century ride ?? sweat.gif definitely needs lotsa training for that

Here's some photos from the ride if anyone's interested in having a look

you don't need training as long as you are physically active...

just don't follow the pace of the fast riders and go according to what you can afford to churn out...

carbon mar... and clincher some more... i think it will do more than that lar... just might not last as long or it might be dangerous as the pads wear the rim down...

Merida Ride Carbon 95 review

The closest review I could find for my bike is this, but that one suppose to supersede my low end bike lah..I'm not sure perhaps different carbon layup and stuffs?
http://road.cc/content/review/1061-merida-...ura-evo-team-20

You know..it's hard to find fault in any Merida review be it for the MTB or roadbike. My Scultura Evo is indeed a good bike and after I paired it with the FR0 it is even better. Let see later once I put the Red and some carbon stuffs to shed it's weight.

Whenever I gatal2 asking for Cervelo's or the Storck prices, any salesman will ask what I ride and when I said the Scultura their respond is that the bike is stiff.. I couldn't comment because that is the only bike I rode so far hence I can't agree nor disagree with them.

It is little well known and the lack of reviews on the net will contribute to its unpopularity even more. Giant beat them in this area by miles. Sponsoring Lampre is surely a good move, although I couldn't see for how long they will survive in the World Tour. Well at least the so called cheapo brand has made it's way to some podiums early this year.

learned that the hard way in the last ride. Ego was bruised with kids with their carbon bikes overtook me climbing hills. Tried to give chase but obviously failed. They were training or something cause there were 3 of them in their team kit and they overtook so many people on the hill blush.gif

I always wondered if seasoned riders find climbing hill less painful or they go through the same amount of pain except it ends quicker coz they climb faster ? unsure.gif
