Hi, I have recently bought a accu-measure fitness 3000. I would like to ask which part of my body should I take the readings from?

You should find someone else who is experienced to use it on you. This is because inexperience can (and often does) creates a large error of estimation.

In any case, you can practise on someone else until you have got the hang of it. There are resources you can google on how to use it. Also, it should have a manual right?

no manual. just a simple guide. it just show measure the waist part.

I saw this website http://www.muscleandstrength.com/tools/how...g-calipers.html

then when i bought from the guy in egonutrition in lot10, he told me to measure the chest, biceps, waist and quad.

I dunno which is which. Which part of mu body should I take the reading from and after taking the readings, should I total it up and see the chart?

Oh dear.

Well, I am assuming you know chest, bicep and waist yes? Quad is short for Quadricep which is your thigh muscle:
https://www.google.com/search?q=Quadriceps&...chrome&ie=UTF-8

Yes you can... but you are almost 100% sure to get a wrong reading because you are inexperienced...

Most calipers are designed to be used by someone else to measure, not self-measurement. Yours might be designed for self-measuring in which case, measure the parts, add them up and check the chart. Then repeat like 5 times and see how much variation there might be.

Edited to add: Ah I googled it and saw it is in fact for self-measuring. So, follow the instructions and like I said-repeat it several times to see if it is more or less the same or too much variation.

I suggest reading through and seeing what others who used it successfully suggest smile.gif It looks like a decent product but as I expected, needs some getting used to.
