I already owned a no-name headunit which supports all sort of playback format including dvd... but lately the headunit and my central locking went off at the very same time... maybe short-circuit somewhere...

other than the headunit everything else is stock (I used to have my brother's more than 10 years old subwoofer, tweeter and some speakers).....

so Im planning to buy my own ICE with a budget of RM1000 (without the headunit).... I think with that kinda budget I can only get a basic audio system... well that is what I think... (just a noob here blush.gif )...

Additional information about my needs is:
1) My car is Wira 1.5 Sedan
2) I live in Ipoh so if there is a recommended shop for me to go to it will really help)

Yes with RM1k you can get basic ice but if you can opt for used ICE you can get something nicer. Check the sales section for some deals. You can buy the parts and ask the shop to fix and tune for you.

Good idea but all I know is tweeter, the side speakers is what you call component speakers is it??? And I know what is amp and subwoofer. Is there all there is for a basic ICE???

What you need is simple:
1) HU
2) Amplifier
3) Speaker (comes with fixed tweeter or separated tweeter)
4) RCA to attach from HU to Amplifier
5) Speaker cable to attach frm amplifier to speaker
6) Power cable with fuse
7) Grounding cable
8) Subwoofer
9) Sound proofing (which you can do later when u have budget)
