Hello
i got this error whenever i try to open the nviidia control panel.
nvidia control panel application 6.9.850.0 has stopped working

Ive been looking through the internet and have been following steps to uninstall drivers here
http://www.evga.com/forums/tm.aspx?m=1174372&mpage=1

but still not working

summary of what ive done
-I have only been using default uninstaller application. Not Revo or driver sweeper.
-I have been deleting every single item marked nvidia from my computer, except of course my mobo drivers
-I disable the function in windows that automatically downloads drivers from win update
-I let win7 load the default VGA driver, then restart without clicking a single other thing and finally installing the new driver from EVGA and then restarting again without touching anything else.

my laptop is acer aspire 4750G - hybrid with intel graphics
intel®Core i5 2410M 2.3Ghz with turbo boost up to 2.9Ghz
nvidia geforce gt 520m --> downloaded newest driver 310.9
windows 7 64bit
4gb Ram

any1 here can help me point out what i am missing.?tq u in advance

If I remember correctly, when you install nvidia drivers there is a option to do a clean install

Also what are the other apps running in your pc that may cause this? hmm.gif

yeah clean install i did that too..it is prompted when choosing custom installation right
i ve avoided express install as the forum above refrain me from doing so.

yup I think that's really strange to happen why don't you try installing the modified drivers from http://www.omegadrivers.net/

but please be careful and read everything carefully before trying it out..
