My experience with ios6.1.....
Standby 11 hours, used merely 2 hours on whatapps (WIFI ) and sms only.. 80% left....counted as good? no idea... Drops 1 % per hour during standby... |

QUOTE(systemX @ Jan 31 2013, 09:39 AM) After updating to 6.1, I still have to restart the phone to get the 3G signal back after I exit the lift. Disabling and re-enabling cellular data/3G/airplane mode did not help either, only way to get it back is to off and on the phone back. Faced this on 6.0.1 as well. Inform Maxis lol..i called them ask about this ytd and they asked me to update in order to solve this |

QUOTE(hovercraft97 @ Jan 31 2013, 09:44 AM) i update to 6.1.. and some of the forrumer here also updated to 6.1... they also experiance the 3g line not even there... Guess they are not the same problem.so beware with this update... Problem faced by systemX = NO 3G/EDGE/0 AT ALL after leaving lift or bla bla bla.. ( Happens in 6.0.1 and 6.1 ) Problem faced by others = Unable to get 3G, always dropped to EDGE after updating to 6.1 ...correct me if i am wrong |

QUOTE(jOo_V @ Jan 31 2013, 10:16 AM) Hi guys. Newbie here... Jz got my Ip5 recently and software has updated to 6.1 as well. My concern is the battery drained 1% per every 2min while browsing with 3G (3G bar in full, location on, siri off, email manually fetch). Fyi, 170+ of apps parked in my Ip5. May i know whether this is the root cause? I have done the full resetting for several times and cycle charged as well but still facing the same issues. counted as normal lol...If this is consider as 'common' for Ip5, then i fine with it but what i have worried if this is the defective 1. Frankly, i not really wish to go for replacement as i wonder that cosmetic issue for Ip5 has solved? I found that the 1st unit having cosmetic issue in Maxis when come to activation, they have replaced me the 2nd unit on the spot with the t&c that i need to bear the risk if the 2nd unit is worst than the 1st unit with no more on the spot exchange, other than send in for warranty claimed. Unfortunately, defective for 2nd unit totally unacceptable with a long scratch at the back for almost 7cm, apple logo also come with many scratches... I have query them whether this is the 'repacking' of rejected units, with no choice i have go back for my 1st unit... at least for me la... i use ip5 3g.... facebook or whatapps...2 -3 minutes 1 % gone lol |

QUOTE(jychow @ Jan 31 2013, 11:44 AM) 3G on, wifi on, Bluetooth on, location on. Battery not cycled yet after the update. guess it is counted at normal..I had to loop YouTube to finished up the battery. Seems like standby time is improved. If you use the phone, it would drain like normal. Nothing miracle here. But standby drain is improved. On Maxis, no 3G problem. previously my usage is 6-7 hours with 20++ standy hours.. Now waiting for it to drain up before i able to post result here ... hehe..guess performance will drop after monitoring for few hours..loll |

QUOTE(alvinool @ Jan 31 2013, 06:42 PM) usage 21min and standby 55min still 100% battery . Tweak battery status too much to convince us can last longer ? I have the same feeling as well... [attachmentid=3290124] I do not touch my phone for an hour... totally did not touch it.. no notification received during that time as well, icloud backup is off as well.. usage can hits 40-50 minutes.... but battery remain 100% hehe |
