Battery life still too early to tell. I believe most of us upgraded to 6.1 when our battery was not full. Let the current battery run down and do a full recharge. Then start monitoring from there.

Does anyone know whether the update changed the modem/radio version?

wondering why nobody can confirm about the Auto-lock with Assistive touch's bugs? before this i see so many user complaining bout this... this is one of the most important fix (at least for me) instead of the battery prob...  biggrin.gif

I believe this has been fixed, at least from what I've monitored.

Guys, when you measure your usage/standby time, do you normally let your battery run down < 20% then measure?

Also, do you always charge when < 20%?

I'm using Umobile nano sim and after the software upgrade, my 3G signal is still there and will switch to Edge some times. But when I go to another location, the signal will switch to 3G if available. So no problems on my side.

Could it be carrier-related?

Im not reseting my network at all.. My 3G still there after updating to 6.1
My batt also now become more good then b4

I'm with you also in using Umobile. No problems with 3G after the upgrade.

I think it could be carrier-related.

That could be another possibility. Perhaps those with problem should state whether they're using new nano sim or cut from old micro/normal sim card.

I'm using the new nano sim card provided by Umobile.

3G on, wifi on. iPhone 5

Is everyone here running your battery down until 1% or until the phone turn=off on every charge? Using battery doctor, it will always say too many full charges is not good for the battery.

iPhone's battery is lithium ion, no need to wait till empty to charge. Full cycle charging should be done only once or twice per month to make sure the battery healthy.
*
What is the definition of full cycle? Use the phone until it switches off then charge from zero to 100% or anything below 20% charge to 100% is also considered full cycle?

Those who updated to 6.1.2 updated through OTA? I was on JB 6.1.0 and did a full restore of 6.1.2, have not JB yet. After restore, did a full charge to get a more accurate reading of the usage.

I used to get average 2 days of uptime with usage between 6 to 7 hours+ (3G from 830am until 730pm, then WIFI from 8pm until midnight). I'll be happy if 6.1.2 can give similar results.

Try to gauge the battery effectiveness after at least one full charge because most of us would have updated when our battery is partially charged.

@ 20% battery for 6.1.2 without JB, I'm getting roughly the same 6 hrs +.

Definitely no battery drain for me. On my 2nd full charge after the upgrade to 6.1.2. Will monitor again.

Seems like Apple didn't completely fixed the bug. It can be still bypassed.

Sense another round of update coming out.
