I know that the sunset/sunrise is the golden/magic hour due to the quality of light it gives, but sexy dynamic range...

Can you define dynamic range and how do you call it sexy in those photos?

just gonna comment on number 1.
the pose from the model is totally weird, this frame not only show that she has a "meaty" arm but also looks short.... what is she trying to do? trying to look her own armpit hair??? furthermore, the pic is too warm although it is sunset but such a warm color makes the model have darker skin tone compare to picture no 2 which i personally like that skin color tone. |

Personally i really feel the skin tone and overall color is weird, donno how to describe, probably ur white balance is out. And i don't get any sexy feel from any of the photo.
I recently watch a presentation from youtube talking about how to improve ur portrait photography, which i think is better to share over here for everyone to learn rather than watching people talking about how sexy the lense is (That's just nonsense). All shots have magenta tinge, not sure if that's your intent, but no it doesn't work. Or unless you want a hipstagram look, well perhaps...
If this is only what you can get from an 85, then I guess that lens is a waste in your hands. Stick to a 75-300 and zoom to 85 is a much cheaper alternative. |

QUOTE(EvanKeat @ Mar 1 2013, 01:04 AM) I don't see any sexy dymanic range here. what i saw some PS shoot. A waste if using 85 f/1.2 and stop down to f/2 I kinda doubt this is taken with the 85/1.2. That lens is capable of wonders! Which isn't here in this case. Anyway, the 85/1.2 isn't famous for being a sharp lens to begin with.DOF is so thin and shoots look soft |
