Buying gw2 account, how to transfer safely and securely?

Hi peeps. got some qns on how to buy a gw2 account and transfer ownership safely.
Other than changing the email and getting the cdkey, is there anything else? Is it possible that the seller can regain control of the sold account, just by sending a support ticket, since he knows the cdkey and new email of the buyer? Unless the buyer changes the email once more (so that the seller wont know which email is tied to the account)? |

what deimos said, unless you really trust the person you're buying from, its better to just pay a bit more for a new key. Green man gaming site gives decent discount from time to time if you're looking for bargain.

I happen to COD, doesn't mean 100% fraud free tho. Quickly change secondary email on the temporary mail, GW2 password, and temporary mail password.
Maybe you can ask the ID of the seller, or find out more about seller. I think at the end its about getting good seller. I recommend for 2nd hand  Edit: I think the sucks part that you can't change the username of 2nd hand acc, lol This post has been edited by Vk21: Jan 28 2013, 07:11 PM |

if you must buy a second hand account, make sure :
1. you verify that the account is still accesible. meet up the seller if you must. verify on the spot, face to face. 2. the seller must be willing to surrender the email account related to the account to you, and the email account will be yours. 3. the seller provide all the details related to the account purchase ( serial key, email used to purchase if digital version etc) ... those are all i can think of right now... |
