okay...most probably is your crown loach cause that.
such issue has been experienced by many people who keeping bottom feeder with pnt, which is not advisable .
You feeding with the turtle pellets beside tank inside the photo you upload only?

Maybe the water. Did u put salt in it? When i did years ago, pnt shell always got thin white layers on the shell, and it always look like peeling off.

The surface peeling not that much of a worry !! Water quality do play a part beside the lightings ...... As other mention diet a part too !!

The parts I highlighted in red bubble may or may not be a bigger worries later on as it grow bigger  !!
