QUOTE(mic_tcs @ Jul 29 2013, 11:16 PM) My 2 cents, star and radiated can be put together as they are from tropical area, while leopard is from Africa. It is better if u are able to provide different type of husbandry for them, as the food will be differ slightly as well. I used the same substrate (soil mixed with coconut coil) for both my star & leopard, but I keep them in different tanks. Is it ok?

QUOTE(Dagashi @ Aug 19 2013, 04:50 PM) Our sulcata and stars are in the same enclosure. Before.. the sulcata was so small now bigger than the stars! so far so good. the appetite of the sulcata is far bigger than the stars so sometimes we have to feed them separately. Our male star now has begun "dry humping" everything. Might need to separate him from the rest . Hi Dagashi, may I know how big is your male star now? Tq..

QUOTE(ryuza @ Jan 6 2014, 03:31 PM) Hello, I been keeping them like 9 month plus now.. i clean their filter 2 week once.. But i never see any red worm before. Before this i keep them in my hostel.. now when the semester holiday start.. i keep them outside of my house.. after that i began to notice this red worm.. The question is.. is it normal to find red worm inside their tank? Are they some kind of parasite? What are you keeping? Red worms?

QUOTE(Mr.Docter @ Jan 16 2014, 04:51 PM) Mine is doing very well. He at my parents house currently till I back. I am surprise how tame tortoise can be. The little fella literally woke up and move toward my mom feet when he seeing/hearing my mom's voice. I think I have to find a new pair for myself. Got a feeling that my mom want the tortoise permanently... Haha, lucky you. My gf doesn't like them much, said they r dirty & smelly.. Btw, do u have any idea how heavy the female needs to be before they r ready to lay eggs? My male is only abt 5 inches & 400g but i saw on many occasions that he keeps mounting on my biggest female (abt 8.5 inches)..

QUOTE(Mr.Docter @ Feb 19 2014, 04:21 PM) Not sure, depending on species and their age of sexual maturity I guess. I read somewhere that paring 2 male and one female for a bit of competition between the male may enhance the chance of fertilization I am pairing 2 females & 1 male in the hope of getting more eggs. The lone male has to work harder..

QUOTE(SAMPERTH @ Jul 8 2014, 05:40 PM) I use that as OMG face LOL Any particular advice you after ? - Dont rotate the eggs - Keep Temp. below 32oC - Keep substrate moist at all times ….. these are pretty SOP !! Cheers Hi Sifu SAMPERTH, I'm using exo terra incubator and I put a container of water inside. When I measure the temperature & humidity, the humidity is always around 88 - 89. How to reduce it a little bit? Tq again..

Day 91: Egg 2 - 4 I can hardly see through Egg 2 & 4. Egg 3 started to develop more veins. I feel that Egg 3 might just hatch later than the rest of this clutch. Attached thumbnail(s)
