QUOTE(Mr.Docter @ Jul 20 2013, 12:04 AM) Thank you for the info! This is new information for me. I shall contact Dr S. Vellayan soon on the Monday to set my appointment after Raya. Oh, didn't know u r from Kedah. In that case, u should be looking for vet near to u rather than travelling all the way to kl.Also you think its possible if we met only once? As I have to travel from Kedah to KL for this and I don't go down KL too frequently via car. Cheers.. |

QUOTE(Mr.Docter @ Jul 20 2013, 12:18 AM) Usually someone will pop up and start basing with rude & arrogance in explaining you should know that you should read those by yourself etc if based on previous threads... Many thanks, Mr. Docter. The main issue here is that I cannot read in BM.. Anyhow, I did have some conversation with Jabatan Perhilitan Semenanjung Malaysia @ Facebook @ https://www.facebook.com/pages/Jabatan-Perh...208535215826654 about legal permit and they did provide a detailed answer. So you might want to contact them to have more precise respond. Would love to know the answers too! Do share with us when you find it! I will try to do some google translate.. |

QUOTE(Mr.Docter @ Jul 11 2013, 04:43 PM) Used tree bark previously.. Then changed to moss. Moss not good. Too much moisture.. Fungus grow. Now using tile and newspaper. Newspaper mostly to soak pee. Thier enclosure got lots of texture? Rocks and tree logs take up most space.. Our stars love to climb. |

QUOTE(mozambique @ Jul 24 2013, 02:08 PM) Aldabra will grow too huge for average capacity. That's my very first criteria before deciding to opt any species - size.I see a lot of people buying hatching Sulcata because its cheap and cute during small, but its a walking bulldozer-will be. I heard they can erode the home cement foundation if you don't provide sufficient depth for the to burrow |

Just a note to diff (my observation and experience anyway ) on the sulcata - they dig to get away from heat and to moisture in their native homeland !! But here in malaysia just a hide or shade and most wont dig too much so as to form burrows - just a depression on the surface !! And our mud are wet enough just 1-2" into ground !! I see a lot of people buying hatching Sulcata because its cheap and cute during small, but its a walking bulldozer-will be.
