Hey as for the air cond filter, i've been reading about as well.. when i first got the car, whenever the engine is on idle and the air cond is on, there'll be this distinct "sweet" smell coming from the vents. this smell will go away once the engine is started again. Apparently it is a defect in the carbon air cond filter. and they change to the normal air cond filter while charging you that much. read this on crzforum.com

the odor is caused by the material.. the stock that came from the factory is the charcoal filter.. and the one that was changed to a paper type filter..

How come I never notice any smell.. Charcoal filter is supposed to be better at eradicating odors etc etc right?

to my understanding the head unit plays a mojor part for a good sound system which the stock one sucks.

i too am looking for upgrade to a better sound system.

not that syok with the stock head set. kinda wasted changing to good speakers cuz they're not played to their best quality...

bring it back to the SC, possibly your rubber seals have misaligned. happened to me once. sound came at 190 plus

Changing the speakers will not improve your sound system, as you are still using the same output from the stock headunit, which is rather weak to drive aftermarket car audio speakers. If you are unlucky, the sound may even be worse, as aftermarket speakers require more wattage from which only an amplifier can deliver, and not from a stock headunit. No point changing speakers only if you are not willing to invest in an amplifier IMHO, you are better off with stock as everything has been pre-matched in the factory.

As for warranty matters, speakers can void the warranty, as Honda dealers can claim anything they want based on the changes you have made to the car, and there's nothing you can do about it. If you want to keep the warranty, would suggest that you keep the car stock (everything) and you'd be fine....
