QUOTE(Flyer @ Mar 15 2013, 07:30 PM) Hey as for the air cond filter, i've been reading about as well.. when i first got the car, whenever the engine is on idle and the air cond is on, there'll be this distinct "sweet" smell coming from the vents. this smell will go away once the engine is started again. Apparently it is a defect in the carbon air cond filter. and they change to the normal air cond filter while charging you that much. read this on crzforum.com My AC had some weird smell from the 1st day, after checking by SC it was the filter. They change it for me FOC. Maybe it's a design problem. Normally AC filters are not so easy to damage right..the service center is tenaga setia resources in PJ |

Guys, need your expert advice here. I'm planning to upgrade the sound system without touching the head unit. Change of speakers will do or need additonal amp? I'm worried about the warranty matter.

QUOTE(ExCrIpT @ Mar 21 2013, 02:01 PM) not that syok with the stock head set. kinda wasted changing to good speakers cuz they're not played to their best quality... Ya, true, this is what the accesories salesman told me. Better to change the whole set including head unit. It seems there is a OEM unit that is made specially for CRZ, RM2.5K. Just plug & play only & warranty not void. But not sure can trust or not. |

Has anyone encounter a loud humming noise from the dashboard area when speed is around 160 & above. Quite loud actually. I have the video recording but not sure how to upload.

QUOTE(Nitrous @ Mar 23 2013, 04:40 PM) Changing the speakers will not improve your sound system, as you are still using the same output from the stock headunit, which is rather weak to drive aftermarket car audio speakers. If you are unlucky, the sound may even be worse, as aftermarket speakers require more wattage from which only an amplifier can deliver, and not from a stock headunit. No point changing speakers only if you are not willing to invest in an amplifier IMHO, you are better off with stock as everything has been pre-matched in the factory. Tks for the advice bro. Guess I'm stuck with the stock headunit then... As for warranty matters, speakers can void the warranty, as Honda dealers can claim anything they want based on the changes you have made to the car, and there's nothing you can do about it. If you want to keep the warranty, would suggest that you keep the car stock (everything) and you'd be fine.... This post has been edited by sashik: Mar 23 2013, 04:46 PM |
