hey guys i've been driving the CRZ for almost a year now and recently i purchased the K&N drop in air filter for RM299 from speedworks (they have a thread here). I asked honda and they said that the warranty would not be affected with this drop in air filter (original honda air filter cost like rm130 :'( ). Does any of you know anything about the typhoon air filter kit? will it affect the warranty? Also, any of you experiencing a kind of soft rattling sound coming from the left door when going on speeds of over 110 kmph?
thanks guys and have a nice day head!

QUOTE(Naka7a @ Mar 15 2013, 02:04 PM) my suggestion would be, keep your original intake. when you need to send your car for any warranty claims (of course those that touches the engine bay issues) just switch it back to the original intake. hmm, no sound so far. i had a whistling/strangled duck sound when i was doing 190kmph. that was from the rubber seals Yeah thats a good idea but whenever i go and service the car i'll have to change back the configuration again heh. the sound that i'm experiencing is similar to a creaking door and its pretty soft, its very hard to pin-point where the source is. i've taken it up to honda and personally i think i know more about my own car than those technicians. as for your whistling/strangled duck sound, at that speed i just get the creaking sound.... by the way, has any of you switched to the typhoon air intake?

yeah i guess you're right. oh and by the way when i did my 25k km service honda "recommended" me to clean my fuel injectors, a procedure which takes about 10 minutes and cost RM185. I wasn't certain whether it was necessary so i just said OK. I consulted a friend later on and he said the car's pretty brand new, usually a 4-5 year old car you would do that. So please don't get conned like i did.

QUOTE(Naka7a @ Mar 15 2013, 03:33 PM) Which service center? i was kind of "forced" to change the air cond filter at 20k a month or so ago.. told the car my car isnt a year old yet, he said it should follow milage... i didnt think so. that filter costs more than my k&n .... zzzz 195 if not mistaken oh wow... your one year old car did 25k... my 6 months old car... clocking 23k already.... huhuhuuuu Hey as for the air cond filter, i've been reading about as well.. when i first got the car, whenever the engine is on idle and the air cond is on, there'll be this distinct "sweet" smell coming from the vents. this smell will go away once the engine is started again. Apparently it is a defect in the carbon air cond filter. and they change to the normal air cond filter while charging you that much. read this on crzforum.com the service center is tenaga setia resources in PJ This post has been edited by Flyer: Mar 15 2013, 07:31 PM
