Any current CR-Z owners that actually installed pedal lock for their rides? Do you find that after installing it, you will have a little difficulty in pressing the brakes as the lock is positioned too low?

wonder if you guys have this issue with knocking/rattling sound at the back..
i found out that, when you open the hatch there is 2 rubber stop/bumps which are molded can be screwed in and out. Simply twist this further out instead of in so the rubber will rub the surface real tight. Apparently if its not tight it will cause knocking/rattling noise. It works for me hope it helps. p/s: also the back license plate light, it is kinda loose.. it might cause some sound so i what i do is i force stuff in some rubber foam in so it is tight and stays there. Go for Connex le.... dont have to meddle with pedal locks, which is, IMHO, is a bit too close for comfort in event of a head on crash (for guys) Have to go change IC from Lelaki to Perempuan, quite susah one u know |

Well not sure, it was said that the lock is positioned to low, so when you press the brake pedal, you will find it a bit difficult since your shoe / slipper might hit the lock lol. Since you have installed, do you mind taking a pic of the lock installed in your ride This post has been edited by Area51SE: Feb 19 2013, 07:19 PM |

I'm implying that it ain't really a hassle cuz I don't really remember it. If something is niggling every now and then, surely you'll be fed-up or frustrated. IMHO, I think it's worth installing since it gave a little bit of peace of mind when I park my car. Now that i notice the Manual CR-Z brake pedal is actually smaller compared to the Auto. As yesterday , a friend of mine showed me a pic of the lock been installed in his CVT CR-Z too.IMHO, I think it's worth installing since it gave a little bit of peace of mind when I park my car. But i think it's just a matter of time getting used to it right? Anyways I guess I'll still install it as like u said, it does give me a peace of mind when I park my car especially in quiet areas. It seems that the lock barrel is much closer to the brake pedal compared to manual crz. Here it is, » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Now I get why he mentioned it's a bit too low for him and his legs hits the lock. Yeah, having a pedal lock gives a bit peace of mind BUT the pedal lock alone wont prevent theft. Park in better places la. |

Hope I would get used to it . and of coz if there is better place I would try to park. But sometimes like those housing area, you got no choice lol...anyways the housing area is famous for thief to break car glass. Thats why, I think It would be safer for me to install security tint and also pedal lock. At least it gives me a slightly more peace of mind rather than fearing the car would get broken in or stolen lol.Yeah, having a pedal lock gives a bit peace of mind BUT the pedal lock alone wont prevent theft.
