Too good for a value ram.
Based on Samsung UCCC memory, I think can go higher, have to do testing some more

They are not BP, Just ordinary pcb. UCCC can do good speed, but not tight timing.

wah...KVR can go up to 500 is impressive. but the only thing i dont like KVR is that the timing starts at 3.0 compared to 2.5 (Corsair value)

I'm also using UCCC here. Apacer ones with BP PCB, can't even boot at Cas 2 so I guess it's not built for tight timings.
Now at DDR512 3-4-4-8 1T with 2.6V, prime stable for at least 24 hours This post has been edited by Dreamworks: Mar 27 2006, 03:57 PM |

Nope. As mentioned, Apacer Value Rams. 2 X 512MB kit, the 2 X 1GB kit should overclock pretty much the same I think.

So, as long as it's a BP PCB I can push 3.0V?

UCCC doesn't love high voltage. Increasing it will not bring you any good.

I am using 2.85V for the memory.
As according to the SPD, the manufacturer is samsung instead of kingston. So does the manufacturer is different company for all memory pcb ? |

@zahri
BT/DT-D43s are good overclockers, not sure about the cheaper CTP-D43s though. As for burn in, Mod soulfly told me that Winbond chips respond well after burn in, but to burn in TCCDs and value chips might risk frying them @bmbk 2.85V and your rams are stable? If I pump 2.85V for my UCCC, in less than 30 seconds and I'll get about well ... ... Lots of errors in Memtest-86. This post has been edited by Dreamworks: Mar 27 2006, 03:50 PM |

well, value rams arent guaranteed to go high speeds..
coz value rams are chipped with lower grade ic's compared to performance part.. thats why theres value n performance in the market.. getting high speed on value, regardless of how high, is definately a bonus.. while those who fork more money on higher binned ram speed are guaranteed to run at higher rated speed [rma if it doesnt make it] |

Woa, the one on top is a real nice baby
Quote from the RAM's Handbook: QUOTE -5B G - This is a newer revision of the -5B C ram. It is still 5ns ram, but can clock higher than its earlier brother. This is the ram commonly found in Crucial Ballistix that has earned quite a reputation for doing very high clocks with great latencies. It can be considered as somewhat of an "in-between" ram, meaning it does pretty decent timings with pretty decent frequencies. Most revision G ram does about 250-260, but can retain the timings of cas2.5-2-2-X. This is better timings than many of the Hynix offerings, but you will pay a price for it. Currently, 1gb of the Ballistix is around $250 USD. If you can find these chips on any other sort of Value ram, it is QUITE the bargain. It also seems to be less picky of a motherboard than some of its competitors. Identifying this ram is just like the rest...the part number will be -5B G on the ram chips themselves. Like I mentioned earlier, it is found in Ballistix and some, but not many Value ram offerings. You are real lucky This post has been edited by Dreamworks: Mar 30 2006, 07:18 PM |

Yup, the -5B C is a Micron ram used in the Ballistix RAM which could achieve 300HTT even with 2GB kit. It is damn good. However, it is also very prone to failures, with a lot of XS and newegg forum members returning the memory for RMA.
So beware, although it is good but it is also prone to failures. |

Athlon 64 3000+ has a multiplier of 9X and below, if you want procs with unlocked multipliers get the FX series |

Athlon 64 3000+ has a multiplier of 9X and below, if you want procs with unlocked multipliers get the FX series ic, fx series, opty? means those unlocked multiplier can get higher/lower the multiplier?wat i'm trying to say is, the max multiplier is 9x n the fx can beyond the max multiplier? |

QUOTE(sniper69 @ Apr 5 2006, 06:33 PM) both of them...mayb tak sama chipset cant get any higher aaa? I think the ELPIDA hit the end of the road ade, bottlenecking your Micron. For Opteron and Athlon 64, they can't go higher than their default multiplier (Exp: Athlon 64 3000+ max is 9X, Opteron 144 max is 9X). As for the FX series, I think is 4X to 25X ic, fx series, opty? means those unlocked multiplier can get higher/lower the multiplier?wat i'm trying to say is, the max multiplier is 9x n the fx can beyond the max multiplier? QUOTE(sniper69 @ Apr 5 2006, 08:03 PM) so, shud i just unplug th elpida n try wif single channel micron?work aaa? Yes, it'll work but you don't want to do that. By removing the ELPIDA from your system, you don't just loose half the amount of memory you originally have, but also dual channel capability. Of which would lead to severe performance penalty that even your Micron @ DD500 could not make up i get it, there's no way can go byond max cpu multiplier rite, so say, wif my a8n-sli premium+512mb kvr micron+venice 3000+350W enermax, wat r u suggest?memory timings?default is 3-3-3-8, now wif both module running at 3-3-3-5 @ 215Mhz 2T - cannot go to 1T, dunno y..just hang at the windows booting. |

QUOTE(sniper69 @ Apr 5 2006, 06:33 PM) both of them...mayb tak sama chipset cant get any higher aaa? Wow..that chip...i used to have it. Running great at 11-3-3-3.0 1T. I love voltage..like Bh5..at 2,9v.max around 235mhz..but at 3.2v..it can do 270mhz. Not sure if 3.5v.ic, fx series, opty? means those unlocked multiplier can get higher/lower the multiplier?wat i'm trying to say is, the max multiplier is 9x n the fx can beyond the max multiplier? |
