QUOTE(zeone @ Feb 7 2013, 08:00 AM) Good morning, Everyone!! Ultimate FC monitoring.1 question needing answers from our Sifus who hv used the OBD2 module in their Gagas... Esp in BLMs & FLs.... IINM FLXs hv more sensors. Question : what are the dials/meters/info that can b set up to display info from our Gaga's ECU? USEFUL info 2hv & 2kno... ATM me juz run the Torque Pro S/Ware as it is...Default Displays only. Can more be added? It wld b great 2compile a list. TQVM in adv! Vacuum + throttle + fuel flow + instant km/l I already bought a car phone holder, which my phone will act as secondary meter panel during my journey back to Ipoh tmr morning. Yesterday back home 500++km journey by monitoring vacuum, fuel flow, throttle and instant km/L parameter, in order to get more than 16km/l FC, here is what i observed.
1. Fuel flow is mainly depends on throttle position. 18-20% throttle will yield speed @ 110kmh @ flat road with >16.5km/L. Fuel flow shouldn't more than 110cc/min. This apply on BLM manual, quite sure 4AT impossible to achieve this. 2. With constant throttle rate, up hill will make vacumm decrease, but fuel flow will remained the same. Do not increase throttle if u want to save fuel, but it will make u loss speed about 15-20kmh depends on slope. 3. As mentioned hundred times before, our aircon compressor is for truck use, each time kick in will increase 2-3% throttle rate, which in turn decrease instant km/l until 13km/l. Before that i thought during highspeed aircond will be less influence on FC. So advice during long cruising, always set temp to warmest or drive during morning time, key rule is minimise aircond usage. 4. 20km/l is impossible for Saga @ highway cruising. Unless u down hill all the way. Last time i mentioned 80kmh will yield 22km/l is wrong, becos that time maybe i let go throttle abit. For trunk road, fastest u go, better the FC, anything less than 80km/l will yield less than 15km/l no matter what gear u engage. 5. Our highway seldom got flat road, majority are sloppy. So for yesterday journey i nearly achieve 16.5km/l with 110kmh cruising, and failed by my sohighness to reach KL @7am, heavy rain + heavy jam @ sg besi to jalan istana, saw the average drop from 16.2km/l until 13km/l after jam for almost 50 minutes. End up whole journey 15.6km/l only. Happy Chinese new year and enjoy traffic jam if u go back home town today, always drive safe. |

QUOTE(sg999 @ Feb 9 2013, 12:22 PM) last week i went jb-kl becos i stopped twice on the road, so torque pro will calculate as 3 trips, my 1st and 3rd trip is avg 16.2km/l and 2nd is 13km/l, 15.6km/l is where i pump back full tank. So i can say the gauge is quite accurate.also only get 15.4km/l only but i open ac kuatkuat and sometime rev 140kmh-190kmh i feel like rev a while like this make no much diffrent on fc and we can come to conclusion?how hard we drive also cant beat down myvi manual lol and is the meter gauge accurate? got compare when u pumped back full tank? how many % diffrent? QUOTE(wanfauzan @ Feb 13 2013, 08:39 PM) guys, I have some extra money to pamper my gaga this month. Don worry back of the car la, it is unbelievable rigid. We are Saga, not buttless car.I am contemplating to invest on safety, after I saw the side collision result from ASEAN NCAP. Besides, I dont think the back of the car is rigid enough to protect rear pax. Worst case, you emergency brake on time, but the car, or worst lorry, behind you doesnt. Therefore, I decided to go for streghtening bar. I know that most of this forum members are very fond of 3Max bar, however, it is not easily available here in JB. I might go for UR. Any advice on which bar should I get? I am afraid if too much bars, the car will be very stiff and not enjoyable to drive. p/s: mieza once said, if you think safety is expensive, try accident This post has been edited by coolkwc: Feb 13 2013, 09:58 PM |

QUOTE(wanfauzan @ Feb 13 2013, 10:25 PM) Saw my friends honda got banged from behind by a lorry. Rear seat being compressed until there is no more legroom. That what worries me. so u think rear strut can save it by being compress? i dun think so...any car bang by lorry also will be like that la, i think only roll cage can save u from that. |

QUOTE(wanfauzan @ Feb 13 2013, 10:42 PM) Hmm. Sorry, by a van. Not a lorry. But your point does make sense also. Hmm. Seems nothing can be done. Just drive carefully la When u saw someone be it car van or lorry tailgate u, just let them pass will do. I always do like that, i seldom let lorry and bus stay behind me for long time, either smoke them or let them pass, one of the FOC countermeasure, right? |

Today pump Petronas @ Ipoh -> pump shell @ Jalan Duta, actual FC 16.7km/l, OBD reading 16km/l. After that from Jalan Duta -> pump caltex @ Melaka Restoran Jejantas Air Keroh, actual FC 18.2km/l, OBD reading 17.3km/l
Maybe Caltex pump can get more with same price. |

Even vaporized i don think it will vaporize for 1L.this color almost like silver already or mybe the time u refill, it is at night when the ambient temp is cooler, so less vaporized |

QUOTE(GP mad man @ Feb 16 2013, 10:11 AM) morning Yup, that one is check engine indicator.one Q for blm. the yellow icon beside handbrake icon isit engine light? this morning while slowing down with free gear, sudden jerk and engine off after restart engine, the light still on off engine 2-5mins and restart, the light gone Your problem seems common for BLM with unknown reason. Normally it will disappear itself or disappear after ECU reset. |
