I never heard the EMAS was ever in the pipeline as it is a small city car for a niche market. Those who buy Proton usually go for their practicality and ability to drive reasonably well in both highway and the city. The EMAS seems to be competing directly with the Viva, albeit possibly with better tech and ultimately, higher price.
I think with the takeover, everything is up in the air at the moment. We may hear a replacement for the Saga soon, maybe not. Everything that has been planned prior to the takeover, I think we can take it with a pinch of salt.
for EMAS the hu-ha is when they introduced it at the car show, Geneva i think. and I believe gov jz finished reviewing Proton green tech initiative (exora & saga ev)I think with the takeover, everything is up in the air at the moment.
