Hey guys! Doctor_Dentist here.

Just wanna shamelessly spread the good word about the new Arma3 total conversion 2017 mod we're working on.
It was originally an Arma2 Dayz mod derivative but the team has gone off to a totally new direction and decided to start from scratch on the Arma3 engine.
Actually it is more of a Total Conversion as 95% of all models, texture, music, animation and code is written from scratch.
Nothing to do with DayZ anymore! So far reception has been exceptionally great and it's not even in pre-Alpha stage yet!

As one of the dev from the Art department, don't be surprised if you stumble upon a box of Ding Dang or Tora while looting! rclxms.gif

This is indeed one of the issue we are trying to resolve in order to reach a wider audience. Since this is not an Arma2 mod, there won't be the hassle of editing parameters and all those technical stuff. With Arma3, and steam workshop, installation should be a breeze. That being said however, I can't stress enough that this game will not appeal to the majority. The team were all huge fans of dayz when it started out but as Dayz mod got more and more famous, their direction of the game kinda skewed towards the less hardcore. We ultimately decided to just develop the survival horror mmo that we have always wanted and hoped for in dayz.

It is true there are far too many survival horror in the market now especially zombie games and no matter how hard we try, we simply cannot get rid of the zombie association to 2017. At first glimpse, people will sigh "oh what, another zombie game? yawn" and that is understandable but we'll try our best to be different and not just for the sake of being different, but in a good way.


Will definitely report back when it is ready for public release but it won't be too soon. It would be detrimental considering Dayz is still sitting on the throne. By the time we get it to work flawlessly and the way we want it, the time may be just right. thumbup.gif
