Genuine question, why are they making people paying for alpha testing the game ? It sounds like the game is very limited and more buggy than arma 2 dayz ?

QUOTE(Skidd Chung @ Jan 4 2014, 01:23 PM) Crowd sourcing. Since Dayz has a lot of fans, it's easy to finance the development without the putting a financial strain on the company. It's like getting investors to pour in money for you even before the product is out. Kinda like kickstarter ? Was going to buy the standalone but i thought i read the forums to see if it's stable but doesn't seem encouraging with the limited items and the occasional character wipes. How's the server population ? |

QUOTE(Skidd Chung @ Jan 4 2014, 02:37 PM) Yes you are right, it is still considered Alpha. Its playable, but still a lot of features missing. Cheers for the info. I might give it a go once i'm done playing my winter/new year titles Character wipes are quite common I heard. SG servers pretty good, Max is 40 players per server but mostly only 20-30 online. Currently only 11 in my server. Last night peak hour saw about almost 20-35 for most servers. |
