I was told you need not do that @ Digi Centre, Alamanda, but having come across this thread and reading one poster's experience made me aware that this may not necessarily hold true.

It depends on each person though. You ask here and 100 people can give you 100 different opinions and you're back to square one. Conflicting thoughts.

Based on my calculation buying from Hotspot at RM1649 with LG malaysia warranty plus no need to apply sirim and can check the phone defect on the spot is much better..

USD 299 x 3.1 = RM926.90 + RM300 (sirim even though 1 phone) + Forward company RM100.00 = RM1326 (approximate) can be more..

add up RM300 you can get local set with warranty..free hassle.. thumbup.gif

Unfair calculation though. That price is for the 8gb. Since the MYR version is 16gb you should use the 16gb US price which is 349 so the calculation will be like this.

USD 349 X 3.1 = RM1081.9 + RM300 + RM100 = 1481.90

Thanks for correcting me on notworthy.gif ..

I just want N4 user to think before buy,
when their N4 got problem need a warranty support they cannot get it as it not a local set.
Sure it will ruin their android experience. sweat.gif

if you are already unlocked, you can always try a different kernel and restore the stock kernel if you want to revert back. BTW, the stock kernel is pretty good, use bbs to find out what is draining your phone on idle. If you have the hsic wakelock, then using a hsic patched kernel would help.
*
one thing to taken into account, read user that already flashed the kernel, see it stable enough or not for you to use, Some kernel are not 100% stable but as long as it suit u its ok..my preference for kenel would be a nice battery/performance ratio like lean kernel.. tongue.gif

Okay. Thanks. Always thought of going to learn how to flash custom kernel and rom but always no free time to spend on learning on it.

By the way, anyone experience the sudden increase of temperature when using 3G?
Mine from temperature 26C raise up to 39C+ when using 3G.
Wifi = around 25C+-
2G = around 30C+- (casual game also at around 30-35C)
3G = raise more than 38C+++

Beware of thermal shock, is OK for the phone to heat up but make sure you dont suddenly put it in cool temperature. Beware of CRACKed Glass.. tongue.gif
