i'm using maxis and stock rom also, the problem most likely comes from Maxis, it sucks real bad and is getting worst every day, been using maxis for more than 10 years and i'm a witness to its failing over the years. most notably after it changed all it's hardware from Cisco to Huawei a few years ago due to 'cost concerns'. just say NO to china brands.I use 3g all the time.
