Hi there, I own a 2.0 but there is not a day go by that I don't wonder how different it is going to be if i am driving a 1.6 turbo instead, honestly speaking.
But don't take this as 2.0 is a let down. It may not have the kind of rev of a turbo and responsiveness of a 6 speeder gb, but it is is very comfortable. so comfortable that and you tends not to feel the 'sportiness' of the car. Hell the handling makes me feel more uncle-like if truth to be told, but I don't mind coz I am an uncle by age, i am in my early 40.
It is a good alternative to any D segment 2.0 I will say that as much, I have been into Camry, accord, Teana, and the 2.0 drives a bit like that just the shorter nose allows you to make corners with lesser strains . Even if you want to leave segment Ds and just compare with other segment Cs, from NA to NA (2.0), 408 2.0 gives you the most comfortable ,and tuned to the most powerful setup , the performance is only dampened somewhat by the 4 speeder gb but that is ok 2 as most rivaling models offer a 4 or 5 speeder or CVT.
At the end of the day, it is really up to the individual , are you the type that stay forever young (in hearts and in spirit coz don't judge a book by any covers) , if so get a 1.6 Turbo.
or if you are like me, comfortable with real age, accepted the maturity that comes with age, and would like to take what people call 'calculated' risk. then get 2.0?absolutely !
Thank u for the feedback. I m reaching 40 soon...so 2.0 may well be my cup of tea
