Though u already changed your mind for f30?

Hi Pug Lovers, I've been following this forum secretly for few months now and finally I decided to visit the Peugeot showroom today with the mindset of checking out the new 208 and end up spending more time checking out 408T instead. Few items which I might need your expertise and advise before I decided to set my mind for 408T. Appreciate if you can shed some light on the questions that i have below and thanks in advance:

1) Current promo given is (RM8k rebate + free mini ipad), is this the best offer in the current market?

2) How is the maintenance cost looks like for those who owned 408T since we only service the pugs every 10KM?

3) There is a lot of pug owners raise their concern about the after sales service provided by the SC is horrible in this forum. Do all Bluebox SC really so horrible?

4) 5 years warranty, good news or bad news? cause I read alot of comments i this forum that most of the new pugs got alot of minor problems and need to visit the SC to get
It fixed.

Appreciate if you can shared your valuable experience with your lions before I join this big family. Thank you! =)

1) Not sure, gotta ask those new owner
2) Maintenance is slightly more expensive to Jap made to be frank, but is just around 10-20% more.
  10K - around Rm300+-
  20K - around Rm500+-
  30k - around Rm500+-
3) There is still room for SC to improve, but not that horrible, at least they fixed most of the owners' problems here.
4) If you can get 5 years warranty instead of 3 years, why not? Ofcoz you can send to your own workshop to get it fixed if you wish to.

Hi jfcheong,

Thank you so much for your swift response, if the estimated maintenance cost really stated as per your response then I will consider it reasonable infact cheaper compare to Jap car. I am currently using Nissan Grand Livina and my 5000km service already cost me RM300++. =)

RM10K discount...you need to 'demand' for it, and the SA need to submit to the management for approval.
*
Last question and sorry for bugging your life cause I am really interested with 408T and if possible would like to get the best deal. How do you find out about this 10k promo? Did you manage to request for it?

QUOTE(roadrunnerPenang @ Apr 21 2013, 10:22 AM)
My report on 2500km inspection

Service orders requested:
1. Left pull & steering vibration after 130km/hr
2. Smelly cabin even though ON the internal circulation
3. Rear passenger leather seat sidewall have "paint" mark

Results:
1. They said cannot do ask me to go outside tyre shop to do alignement and balancing
2. They said no issue...
3. They remove the "paint" mark

As a customer, I seriously feel that incompetency of this so called new blue box sad.gif

For item 1, after I bring my car to Tyre shop, they told me my front wheel Tyre is actually not in good shape and cant do proper balancing. Then have to swap 1 of the seriously affected tyre with spare. Go to highway pump >130km/hr no more steering vibration...

My advise to new car owner, go to do the tyre alignment and balancing once get your car to avoid unnecessary wear off on the tyre...
*
But isn't all the above especially on item #1 can be done at blue box itself? What do the technician advise you to do it outside instead? *Confused*

This is true. I inspected 2 PBB SC,they are not setup for alignment & balancing,ie no equipment setup. I'm going to get mine done outside.
*
Seriously? Damn! I was thinking of getting the 408T already. I guess I need to think twice now, how come Peugeot do not have balancing and alignment equipments in their blue box?

That should not stop you from 408T...it is kinda normal we do balancing and alignment at outside tyre shop just I beh song they said cannot do anything (somehow this is consumer thinking, when u get something free @ 2500km u must demand and expect something)...my previous japanese S brand also do not have this facility in their authorize center brows.gif Join us rclxms.gif
*
Correct, it is all about the after sales service, I also do have friends which owned a tyre shop but again I think I had a very high expectation towards Peugeot and that is the reason why I expect blue box to have everything in place especially their 4S blue box serrvice centre.

perhaps may i suggest it would be best if you considered another brand that can fulfil your needs in aftersales. if even before purchase you're already dissatisfied, you will not enjoy the product at all with that thinking at the back of your mind.
*
Well I think you might had misunderstand my definition. I am not voicing out my dissatisfaction in this thread or neither spreading out the negativity as well. In fact I will be making my booking tomorrow, sorry if I had offended you but I had the same thoughts as roadrunnerPenang whereby we as consumers will have higher expectation towards the product that we bought and also service that we paid and thats normal. In fact myself are working in the customer service line so constant feedback is a very useful tools for future improvement. *peace* =)

I'm surprised to hear you having doubts on this car over such an small issue!

As I mentioned earlier, I was pretty surprise when I got to know about this and plus my current car manufacture SC has everything under one roof. So for all sudden it triggered my sense of comparison but of course just like what you said, It is just a small issue.

Agree with jfcheong. SA will insist for us to go with their tinting shop which i've never heard before and quoted me around rm1400 warranty 7 yrs. I went for 3m instead i got piece of mind.
*
Would you mind to share what 3M tinting that you've used bro? The specs and which outlet?

I can't remember what kind but it cost me rm1600 w/out the safety. There are 3 kinds, the crystalline which will cost at rm2400, then mine, the last one cost rm788. It differs on the ir and heat penetration. Workmanhip very good. The shop is 3m authorised dealer located opposite subang parade.
*
Thanks for sharing bro, I am currently using Vkool 40 for my current car and the heat rejection is very good but not dark enough, I have to tint second layer to make it darker. Now I was thinking of trying other tinting brand when I get my new lion.
