QUOTE(joeaggas @ Jan 27 2013, 06:44 PM) Wah pergi genting win back some tinting money? Woot woot. By the way, in malaysia which highway or trunk road is best for an enjoyable drive? Gua Musang to Kuala Krai, pot holes, foggy + got cow during early morning drive, but some stretch has long straight road nice for overtaking 1) genting highlands 2) karak to Kuantan 3) Simpang pulai to gua musang 4) east coast highway from kota tinggi to kota bahru 5) gua musang to kuala krai 6) rantau panjang to kuala kangsar via grik highway. my personal favorite is 3 and 5 early morning drive. What's yours? |

QUOTE(jfcheong @ Feb 20 2013, 01:47 PM) Most probably your wiper blades worn out/ dried up. Get the SC to replace a need one for you. And do make sure you clean your wiper blade & wind screen everytime you wash your car. Any left over on the blades/ wind screen may create tak smooth function of wiper. Anyone has changed to silicone wiper? Will it void warranty (just in case)Then again, SC wont know if we put back the original wiper when send for service, no...hahaha This post has been edited by Kanasai79: Feb 20 2013, 03:14 PM |

QUOTE(jessyeo @ Feb 20 2013, 09:06 PM) Silicone for RM230? If it can last more than 3 years and more efficient then still acceptable. I'm too used to silicone wiper (those RM 38 per pair) in my Toyota and when using rubber on 408 especially at night + glaring... really difficult to drive. Let me check with Puchong SC this Saturday on the price |

Went for 2500km inspection today at Puchong SC
Issues: - 4 tires shows sign of slight uneven usage - 1 of the windscreen washer not working Took 3 and 1/2 hours in total for inspection which include tire balancing and alignment, and foc car wash. They swap the front tire to the back and vice-versa. Windscreen washer leg broken - had to wait for replacement spare parts (another visit). |

I send the car for 1st server 2500km at Puchong SC and complained about the uneven tyre wear. The first alignment/balancing/rotation was done FOC. However it caused my steering to shake at speed of 130km/hr. Complaint again and they charged RM100 for re-do of balancing and alignment. Is this normal? I argued with them but they insist me to pay.

QUOTE(jessyeo @ Apr 1 2013, 04:23 PM) I did mine aliment and balancing including tire rotation cost around Rm50 only. I dont bother to go back SC since I had change my rims before. Plus SC drag few hours just for that. Yeah... it took almost 3 hours to get it done. I will bring it to a friend workshop next time which includes On-wheel balancing |

Just a silly question:
Do we need to service our 408 on schedule up to the-date? Example if I took the car on 20th Jan 2013, then my 2nd service (6 months) MUST be before July 20th? |

QUOTE(SKYjack @ Aug 16 2013, 09:29 AM) 2Liter NA is a spacious and comfortable car. The turbo has better handling and performance. At the same time, it is also a bit more expensive to service. The difference is not going to tear a hole in your pocket! If you don't mind the extra bit,get the turbo, you'll thoroughly enjoy driving this car. It depends on your budget and preference. Exactly like what SKYjack said:Word of caution! Turbo's daaaaamn addictive, once you taste this poison, no turning back.....hehehe! 2.0 NA - comfort and cheaper in service. If you drive leisurely go for this. It is definitely powerful enough to overtake lorries/cars when driving along the trunk road, say to Kelantan as I did it last month Turbo - powerful and better handling. If you need to acceleration this one. With the power and six gearbox, accelerating from 120 - 180km/hr seems effortless on North South highway |
