Hi, please add me into the list, Henry, 408T, Blue.

I will collect my car tonight. So shall I reduce the tyre pressure? What is the best recommendation?

My 408Turbo arrived show room this morning and now undergoing registration process. Then will continue with the tinted job. Hopefully I can collect it tonight. By the way, I am now driving a show room demo car, same 408Turbo, as replacement after I hand over my Vios to the used car dealer.

I took the offer 3k discount and 5yrs free service. The agent is my friend so I receive
- 5" GPS (dont know what is brand is it)
- iPad mini (already cash out from the agent, 1k)
- cash rebate, 1.5k

So as suggested, I will pump the front rubber with 34 psi while 32 for the rear rubber. I think that should be good enough. Any idea guys?

34 - 36psi is minimum. 32 is a bit low, you'll endup with outer rim on tyre wear. 2.5 Bar is about 35psi I think.
*
Thanks and will try with 36psi at front and 34 at rear. Cannot get my car last night because tinted still in progress. Will collect it tonight.

BTW, the MC5 is making noise during the ride. Any recommended brands to replace it? Shop? I am staying at Puchong area.

Anyone check on the rear fog lamp? I checked last night and saw the rear fog lamp of driver side is off. While the passenger side is on. Is this normal? The fog lamp should be in pair when light up, correct me if i am wrong.

Recently my friends told me the tires noise is noticeable at the rear passenger seat. Anybody notice the same thing?

I went to a accessory shop to ask, the boss quote me RM650 to install the sounder deadener for the shole bonnet (china made). Another brand from US is RM1200.

But they I visited to ebay and there are few US brand, selling in roll, from 12sqft to 100sqft, price range from USD15 to USD100

I am thinking to order the sounder deadener from ebay and DIY. However I am still monitoring the noise from the back. I took away the storage box from bonnet and continue to monitor the noise level.

BTW, any members here experience the same?

Recently I found a 8" long mark on my hood (near the lion logo). I believed somebody drew on my hood with marker pen. I tried to use wax to rub the mark but no cure....

Today then I found a few scratch at the rear bumper. My puppy did that....

I am thinking to go for a polish to remove the mark and scratches, but I hope somebody can advice before I spend that money.

i settled the scratch by using Turtle scratch remover. It is same like wax, apply and wipe it, scratches gone too....it saves my Lion sexy ass....now no more scratch and licin like toufu.....But it can only save minor/light scratches.

By the way, I could not find the GB dip stick in my 408T. Anybody have idea about this?

Unless there is oil leak, oil level will not drop. If there is a oil leak,it should be fixed. For this reason there is no GB dip stick.

The GB is electronically monitored. A faulty GB will be indicated by PRND message on the multifunction screen with an audio signal.

Thanks for the info. rclxms.gif

But what about the battery water level? I cannot open the battery cover to look at my battery. Anybody can advise? flex.gif

So far, I found rattling noise from the driver door...damm annoying but no time to send over to SC to fix it. Noise from back is obvious when running on "hard road". hmm.gif

Car clocked at 5000km, and another 5000km to go for the 1st service. The last FC record was 10.8L/100km, while the average record is 11.4L/100km. I capture the average record by using the Tripmeter 2, never reset it to zero since the day I received my car.

2500km inspection is just a general check to unsure the car is functioning properly in use. They are only looking for leaks, levels and general condition.

I'd suggest go to Seremban SC since you live here. The SC is adequately setup and is fine for normal service. There's a small customer waiting area with free coffee, biscuits and Wifi. Although the SC is not very busy, each of my visits has taken roughly 2hrs,so take your laptop. My last visit took 3+hrs cos they said my battery is weak at the end of service. So had to wait for another 1+hr for just a battery change.
*
Bro, u from seremban? Me too and I got my Lion from the Seremban branch. I have not visit to Seremban SC because I am staying at Puchong. Pay a visit to the Puchong SC during my 1st inspection.

So you are X Seremban, now Puchong la. Myself X PJ,now Seremban.

Want to ask you,is Cascadia Lake Vista,Puchong a good investment. These are gated townhouses. Are people wanting to stay at this place? Is the area surrounding nice? I'm looking at long term investment.
*
Bro, I am not good in property investment. But I can tell you, now at Puchong, every inch of land is like piece of gold. People are crazy with it. They wont bother where is the location or what kind of property is it. The concern is, price and return rate, any DIBS..... cry.gif

I knew that place, it is inside Taman Tasik Prima, very deep inside and far away from the town. By the way, there are lots of houses and shops inside. Even KFC 24-hour is there too. Should be a good investment because slowly it becomes its own town.

I back Seremban every weekend, using LEKAS rclxm9.gif Hopefully still no speed trap at LEKAS, so I can let my Lion runs freely there....

I tested Ford Focus Titanium+ (sedan) before I decided to own 408T. In terms of technical specifications and features, I believe you can read from the brochure/online information.

Some comments from me during my test drive:
1. Outlook. I would said the FF sedan has better looking than 408T, especially the Sport model.

2. Interior. I preferred 408T because of the bigger cabin. FF wheel base is almost 408T, but the seats cushions are too bulky. And I believe this cause the cabin of FF become smaller.

3. The dashboard, I picked 408T because I dislike the dashboard of FF, due to too many buttons on dashboard and the steering. For me, I rather to pick the clean and clear design.

4. Boot size, 408T still bigger than FF. The sport FF boot size is the worst.

However, we got to remember FF is 2.0NA engine, with power shift. It is heavier compare than 408T. But step on the gas pedal, the acceleration still not bad. I feel impressive with its acceleration.

By the way, it could be my feel or the test car problem, I feel jerking during low speed cruising. City driving, less than 60kmh, RPM around 2k to 3k, the car jerk all the way.

Suspension wise, it is not harsh at all. The body rolling force is very minimum. I would said, FF is comfort while 408T is bit bumpy. But I think its thicker tires improve the comfort level of driving. If not mistaken, it runs on 16" alloy wheels. 408T is on 17", profile 45, plus the horse brand MC5 tires, which is harder than the FF.

By the way, after 4 months driving, I can feel my suspension getting a little softer than before. I could be wrong or maybe I already get used with it. Even my wife does not complained if she sits at the back with her nephew. She said no more bumpy feeling. Anybody has the same feeling?

Something to add, FF steering is great and sharp at turning. And the size is just nice to hold. This is what I like. Can Ford sell the steering to us? hahaha....

The another bad thing regarding to interior, I would say sorry, I dislike the brown color cushion, dashboard and steering. I preferred black color interior.

For the auto parking, you must get the FF Titanium+ with additional 10k++. By the way, the FF T+ provides more and better accessories, and the most attractive part is the electronic seats for both front seat. The normal version is only the driver side.

But turbo charge always give you a better feel during driving. The low end muscle is nice and you can act naughty at 3rd link. Get into the link, and flash to the car in front, excuse me, can you give way? My wife says, she notices I like to do this since I get my Lion.

However, until today, there are few car models make me feel shame after I flashed them from behind.
1. Golf GTI (the previous model, I flashed him at my 150 and suddenly he pick up. Then I can only see his tail light)
2. BMW 5 (he flashed me and I got to give way even I am 170 kmh)
3. BMW X5 (he followed me tight even I am 150kmh, got to give way)
4. Audi A4 (overtaking me in split of second while my speed is 150. I step harder on step but only can see his tail light)

Not surprised at all. Did u get flashed by myvi at 150kmph? It happened to me mamy times. In fact, to reach 200kmph with 408t is easy and to compete with these cars are not really a problem since their top speed also not that high. The concern is whether you hv the balls to speed above 150kmph??!!.
*
The highest for me to hit is 170kmh on LEKAS. Thinking to drive to Kuantan to test more. Today is the 10k service of my Lion. Hope to see some improvement after the service.

By the way, I am sending it to Puchong SC. I requested to use Total instead of Synthium. But they want to charge me RM 393 for the Total engine oil, and give me the 4L Synthium engine oil too. So end up, use Synthium.

The 4 cars you mentioned are way more expensive then our lion. For me, I wont be ashamed in front all this car.
They are more than 200k per piece where my 120k can follow biggrin.gif

rclxms.gif This is what come across my mind while they overtake me

rclxm9.gif At least, I can overtake 2.0NA easily

Finally did my 10k service at Puchong SC. No need to pay anything because my Lion comes with 5 yrs free service (or 100k km, equivalent to 10 times service). They fixed the rattling noise at the driver side door. However still waiting for a part to replace for the driver side door hinge. I reported there was clacking noise while I open the door to the max position. They found the error but got to wait for the part. OK, I will wait to see.

Requested to use the Total Engine Oil but I got to pay RM393 for the oil itself. They said NO TOP UP to change from Synthium to Total. They will give the Synthium back to owner if he chooses to use Total. That why they ask for RM393 for the oil. Unreasonable...Why cannot top up?

I did not notice any improvement so far. So got to take time to observe the Lion.

This is my turn to report the bad performance of the Yokohama battery in my 408T. Drove for almost 14000km in 6 months, finally battery kong at 12:30pm.

Called to Peugeot Careline and they sent a technician to come for a replacement. He reached 1:45pm and settled by 2:00pm. The most important, today is holiday but still they came to do it.

The replacement is Delkor and hopefully it can last longer.

Yes, my battery was totally dead so they got to send over technician to replace the battery.

BTW, I rather call my car insurance road assist to come over to jump start or replace battery for me if this happens after the warranty period. They will send over battery to your door and install it for you. Payment in cash for the battery and installation fee (last time is RM10 only)

The Century Battery Assist is basically the same idea like this.

So guy check the windshield sticker provided by your car insurance company and fully utilise their road assist service to tow car/jump start/replace battery

Is there any after market sensor/meter which can detect the weak battery, instead to check it by using multi-meter under the hood?

I remembered that was once a group purchase of wipers. Did anyone still doing the same group purchase? How much? Size 28+30?

I am living in Puchong (Selangor), and recommended shops selling the wipers at reasonable price?
