Rear fog lamp: The single light help following traffic know its not a brake light.
Having rear fogs on both sides is problematic because it can cause that confusion and needlessly create standing waves in traffic, or increase risk as folks will not notice as quickly when you do press the brakes.

No alarm system: we dont need it since there's no resell value.. tongue.gif

QUOTE(zgnd @ Nov 7 2013, 03:13 PM)
Hi All,

I just had my 10k service mid last month.
So far after 6 months driving my 408 2.0, I am happy with it smile.gif
Driving experience is great! Powerful compare to my previos Vios. (Of course you may said, it is different class of car i am comparing. But in term of comfort, space, gadget, personally i think this car suit me perfectly so far.

However, the bad part of it... so far is the fuel consumption is higher.
The other thing that i don't like is to drive it during noon time. It is really hot due to the front screen is relatively big and slanted quite low.

I am not sure the other Peogeot CS. As i am living in Melaka, i patronized Peogeot Melaka Service Center. Personally i feel they are quite professional and kind. For instance, 2 weeks ago, my car broke down in middle of MLK town center in the sunday afternoon. And it was raining heavily. My car just could not start. After a few tries, i call MLK Peogeot SA to inform my situation. Immediately, she called the technician and i got the call back in less then 10mins. After on-call guidance and still can get my car started, the techinican came to the site within an hour. The culprit was due to the battery. He helped to jump start my car and informed me that due to workshop close on sunday, they could only do the replacement the next day.
The following day, Peogeot sent an engineer to my home to pick me up and drop me off at my office before driving it to the workshop.
They replaced me with a new battery only the 2nd day due to they had running out of stock.

Basically, i am a happy Peogeot 408 driver and proud to own one :-)

My SA pointed out that replacing the light bulbs of the headlamp to other bulbs such as PHILLIPS end etc will void the warranty. Can anyone confirm this? As I wish to change my headlamp to a brighter white color
*
yes it is, everytime when i get back to sc, i switch back to original bulb to avoid any unnecessary issue, until i get tired, i sold my white bulb

but some say, the ecu in this car records every electronic components history, even u unplug ur bulb, sc is able to track with computer

i try argue this point with my sa, he said to me, "u need to change ur bulb in authorized sc if ur bulb blown, ur car in under warranty, so it is free"

he insist that nasim can void our warranty if they discover any not original part installed on our car

for peace of mind, i swap back to original bulb

All 408 owners, the wipers is really hampering my vision during rain and when you use the wiper, the swiping leaves a trail right in front of my field of vision, any way to solve this?

I remembered that was once a group purchase of wipers. Did anyone still doing the same group purchase? How much? Size 28+30?

I am living in Puchong (Selangor), and recommended shops selling the wipers at reasonable price?

Checked in Puchong. rm12k discount.
Or rm7k with 5yrs free maintenance.

is the free maintenance a good offer?
Or just a sales gimmick?

My battery died on me saturday nite. Mileage is abt 18k 10 months car. The bad thing is i was in penang. Came up from KL for a short weekend trip. The worst experience i got was from Peugeot Careline. I called them informing them of my situation and they arrange a tow truck to bring my car to the Jelutong center. The guy from careline told me that the service center is open on Sunday half day. I was skeptical so i confirm with him again about this coz i told him i needed to head back to KL on sunday. He confirm that the service center is open for half day.

After putting my car at the Center, i called again to confirm. Because my gut feel tells me it doesnt open on Sunday. But again he says sure open for half day. So this morning i went at 9.30 and to my horror, even the sales office is only open at 10am (sunday). I called up Careline again in the morning and i spoke to another person regarding this. This time the new person told me Service center is close on sundays. Pwahhh....i exploded! I gave this new person the wrath of my anger. But i still cannot do anything about it. I wanted to just find a mechanic to change to battery outside. But i remember when they jump start my car that night, my steering felt very heavy. The new careline person says they can jump start for me and i can drive back all the way to KL. But with the heavy steering issue i think better not. I 'll stay another in Penang and hopefully tomolo morning they can rectify the battery and power steering asap so i can go back to KL. All the best to me tongue.gif

Seriously, peugeot better get ppl with more knowlegde abt their services.

Interesting. Ask your SA to join us here so we can know how Nasim void our warranty with things stated clearly in wear and tear manual. You get your car from Melaka branch, right?
