Just cut the insulation strips when you cannot find any place to navigate around or nothing to stick on. laugh.gif

Hi Jfcheong,

My 408 Turbo is confirmed to be delivered early next week.
I am also interested in the rubber sealant which you have just ordered.
Can you please give feedback as to how effective it is in cutting out noise etc?
Is it easy to install and will it last?
Sorry to ask so many questions.
Thank you

jfcheong is not the group purchase organizer. I'm the one blush.gif

it is quite easily to install. We've 10 orders in Batch 1 and 7 of them collect and I believe are being installed.

Check for pictures which I've posted and you'll get the idea.

oh another topic we found out is that during the first inspection aka 2500kms, SC is supposed to unlock your car's safe mode.

If there is no changes after your visit, most likely SC "forgot" to cucuk their reader to your OBD-II connector to do the magic to leash the remaining hidden talent of your car.

Yup the Chan sow link service manager repeated himself at least 3 times when I collected my car.

Nobody felt their car lighter after 2500km inspection?

This friday doing my 2500 inspection, gonna ask the technician about it.. there are few things need the technician to check too, firstly, left water nozzle not working (abnormal right?).. secondly, when internal circulation is on, still can smell external air coming in.. thirdly, steering is not 100% straight, but when straight road car won't move to one side (not sure should ask them to fix?), forth, just found out yesterday when cleaning my car, the water in the reservoir seems to be lessen.. so many minor things that need to check..

i wrote down my problems on a piece of paper and get the service technician to enter it into their system. flex.gif

But i did ask my SA whether the 208 has this 2500KM unlock thing.
She said , NO LA!  WHERE GOT SUCH THING.  NEI PEI YAN LOU TIM NEI AH.

Maybe SA dunno that much.
nevermind, I'll be sending my 208 for the 2500KM inspection maybe in a month time and see how.

maybe non-tebo models doesn't have that safe mode on by default? whistling.gif

just checked. the safe mode is from france so that the cars are not damaged by transporters during delivery. it should be de-activated by pdi. this means the car should be on normal mode by the time it reaches the showroom. hope this info helps.
*
so nasim is assuming owners of 408 are the abusive kind and left safe-mode on until 2500kms blush.gif

yup. an rcz (my friend's car) once had poor petrol problem and was jerking badly. once they drained it out and refilled with new 95, it ran smoothly. very sensitive indeed. she was using 97 earlier. always bought from the same petrol station, no problem but one day i guess the batch of fuel was not good.

agreed. try removing the fuel filter and pour out the content of what is filtered nod.gif
