Few days ago while trying to overtake a lorry at slow speed (50-70kmp) after traffic light turns green, there was a slight resistant (feels like fuel suddenly cut off and reconnect). The car jerks for a second before accelerating. Since then, it is running smoothly.
A bit worry now... |

Hi all 408t owners.
I have experienced yet another sudden loss of power while driving at 60-80kph near subang parade this afternoon. This incident is the 3rd time in 2months (if I remember correctly). Its only a split second before it resumes power. I am a little worried as tomorrow morning I will be driving to muar for "qingming". Hope my car wont halt hafl way or in the middle of nowhere in muar. I would like to inform peugeor carcare but I m not sure how should I relay this problem/incident correctly to them. Anybody could provude useful advice will be very much appreciated. Now clocking at 16k km. Checked my rear rotor disc plate and found a deep line in the middle. Gonna highlight to peugeot and hope to get a replacement for free. I beliwve this has nothing to do with my driving pattern. Hehe. |

QUOTE(SKYjack @ Mar 31 2013, 10:52 AM) Bro, IMO it is not an ECU problem. It is probably one or more sensor malfunctionacceleration malfunction appears intermittent, which is a signal for an impending failure. It can fail anytime anywhere, and the ECU may stop functioning. Which means your engine shuts down and you'll probably not be able to start it. Just came back from muar. No loss of power for 500km distance. I have made an appointment with glenmarie center.hope they could find out the problem. I would rather have it fixed before a long journey. If you want to take the chance, you can always call up Peugeot careline. Only trouble is, alot of inconvenience. Day travel would be better! Few more things noticed today. 1. When I m tuening steering wheel, I can feel somerhing is losen. (Its like a "click"). Joeaggas, I m aware of turbo lag whenever I try to accelerate or coming out from a corner.it happens when i switch from brake pedal to petrol pedal after slow down. But this loss of power is happening whike I m cruising without trying to accelerate suddenly. |

QUOTE(OrangBiasa @ Apr 1 2013, 12:39 PM) Just to add. Ask SC not to wash your car when you include tyre rotation/alignment/balancing in the service. I did my 20K service last Saturday at Balakong SC and asked them to do alignment n tyre rotation. I marked the tyres before I send for service. When I collected my car, the tyre's position remain the same. I would have not notice if I opted to wash my car. When I called this morning, they admitted that they didn't do the tyre rotation but did the balancing and alignment. But I doubt it since the brake dust is untouched. Unless they can do it without touching the rims. Anyway, they offered me to redo it again on next Saturday.. Element of cheating is found here. U should relay to their hq. Were you charged for the balncing and alignment? I will be very upset if this happened to me. |

M still at Glenmarie service center.
registered 8.45am this mornign and waited for 15 minutes before my number is being called. There was no clients around, Why the long wait? Because there was only 2 Staff manning the counter and the receptionist (2 Service technicians). Why? I was told many of them resigned within a week due to management issue. Waited until 11.45am and saw my car parked at car wash bay.( i have told the SA not to wash my car ). I guess they just don't listen. reported problem : 1. steerling loose 2. disc plate with deep scratch line 3. smelly inside even internal air circulation is turned on. 4. power loss ( engine missing a beat ) 5. battery weak SA came back to me : 1. steering nut loosen. tightened. 2. disc plate ( no problem, can't claim warranty, but he was referring to front left disc, while i reported rear right disc.) 3. cleaned cabin air filter. 4. power loss, have to make another appointment. must leave car overnight. 5. no problem with battery as diagnostic shows. SA only check front disc and not entire 4 disc. i purposely asked him which one he said is okie. haha...caught him with his pants down. sitting for almost an hour after i told him and showed him the deep scratch line. i guess he must have gone for lunch as now is 12.55pm already. to be continued....... |

![]() QUOTE(matsukatsu @ Apr 5 2013, 10:12 AM) Termibait - noticed ur issue 'engine missing a beat'. Do ask them re check all sparkies...I had similar prob last time n spsrk plug changed n issue solved. Mine due to fuel fouling up sparks. Also, I had low batt issue in between. Not sure whether that will also result in incomplete combustion adding furthr to failing sparks. thank you Matsukatsu,i have made another appointment for them to check this as i was told my car have to be left overnight. 1. steerling loose - tightened up but i still can feel a little bit. not sure if it is due to drive shaft. 2. Disc plate with deep scratch line - replaced a new set on the spot. 3. smelly inside cabin - cleaned up cabin filter. not sure this works or not as i did not trail behind lorries with black smoke yet. 4. Turbo loss - engine missing a beat. appointment made 3.5.2013 together with 20k service. 5. weak battery - saw the dianostig slip- it shows good battery. My review on Glenmarie center : Front counter : No smile but courtesy, 7/10 Service advisor : Friendly with smile, 8/10 Service Technician : Friendly but not so meticulous, 7/10. I complained about deep scratch line on disc plate. He just checked front disc and wrote on the service sheet, ok, warranty not approved. I asked him which disc he mentioned is ok. He showed me the front disc. Then, i told him the scratch line is at the rear disc. He was stunned for a while and went back to office ( i guess to talk to his boss ). 11.45am that time. waited until 2.55pm to collect my car. rear disc was replaced with a new set(both left and right). refreshement : Milo, tea, coffee, biscuit. (SHould add nasi lemak or meehoon goreng). 6/10. entertainment : newspaper/magazine. 3/10. No newspaper found. pre inspection Follow up: A call was made to me to remind of the service date and time. post inspection follow up : A call was made to me next day to confirm problems are rectified and scheduling of next appointment date for the item 4. Total experience : 7/10. At least solve my disc plate problem and checked my battery. cheers.... This post has been edited by Termibait: Apr 5 2013, 11:21 AM |

Will definitely update my case here in the forum.
One question: will aggresive driving style reduce possible carbon build up, if any? |

QUOTE(robinyan @ Apr 14 2013, 06:25 PM) Hi Pug Lovers, I've been following this forum secretly for few months now and finally I decided to visit the Peugeot showroom today with the mindset of checking out the new 208 and end up spending more time checking out 408T instead. Few items which I might need your expertise and advise before I decided to set my mind for 408T. Appreciate if you can shed some light on the questions that i have below and thanks in advance: At least they fixed mine. 1) Current promo given is (RM8k rebate + free mini ipad), is this the best offer in the current market? 2) How is the maintenance cost looks like for those who owned 408T since we only service the pugs every 10KM? 3) There is a lot of pug owners raise their concern about the after sales service provided by the SC is horrible in this forum. Do all Bluebox SC really so horrible? 4) 5 years warranty, good news or bad news? cause I read alot of comments i this forum that most of the new pugs got alot of minor problems and need to visit the SC to get It fixed. Appreciate if you can shared your valuable experience with your lions before I join this big family. Thank you! =) Changed a pair of brake disc on the spot without going through the hassle. I wish they could provide nasi lemak though...not fancy of biscuits... |

I beg to differ. So far, I m only tuning to 21-23degrees as its very cooling even under hot sun. After while, I tend to push the vent to other direction. Passenger also said its cold.

Those who bought early suffered at least 11k of loss. Lesson of the day, don't be enticed to buy a newly launched car. Unless you don't mind the monetary loss within the next 12months.... Should have waited until now or 2013 year end....I can foresee 8k over trade and 5 years free service then.

I just had my car serviced this morning at glenmarie.
1. Made a booking early April for 3.5.2013. Got a call 2.5.2013 saying they have to postpone due to manpower. I agreed. Appointment changed to 7.5.2013 2. Received call on4.5.2013 asking me to postpone to next month. My fire shot up to my head....insisted my car to be serviced next day as I don't want to risk having my car serviced at more than 20500km that could void warranty. Reason to postpone bcos they have conference. Damn bloody upset. Phone was disconnected and on,y received a call an hour later to say that she has to check with service advisor and will get back to me on the booking number. 3. On the 7.5.2013 10am. Received call from sc asking me whether I am arriving o not. Told the lady that my booking has changed to 8.5.2013 due their conference. And her colleague din bother to call me back for the booking number.she gave me the number immediately and ask me what time I will be arriving. I said 8.30am. 4. 8.5.2013. Arrived at 8.15am. No one was there. Waited until 8.45am before seeing a senior technician and consulted him to press the queue number for me. 5. Settled the registration and start waiting. 6. By 10.40am my car was still parking at the same spot. (Meanwhile I saw many clients came later than me has left with their cars serviced.) 7. Super tulan, so I went straight to the sa and ask him what happened. He was stunned and went to look for the service technician. By then only the service technician came to take my car for service. 8. The service was completed at 11.45am. I was charged 1.4hour labour charge. Now only I realised this. Damn!!!! 9. Complained steering loose. Tightened up. 10. Complained noise at right rear door. Said replaced door trim but I can't tell the difference. 11. Complained about power loss for seconds..it's written at the service sheet that software was updated.(my Bluetooth was able to connect immediately upon start engine.) not sure this has anything related to it or not but I suspect that guy didn't update the software. What is the first version of software and now is there any updated version? 12. Overall experience. Found myself stepped into a dung and regret now. Accompanied waifs few times to KIA centre and I have t admit, their service is way better. No booking required. |
